Awesome Road Trip Bag!

This duffel bag is amazing!! Black diamond really thought out all the necessities of a duffel bag. It’s rigid enough that it doesn’t collapse on itself if you’re packing lighter than the 90L. You can grab this bag multiple ways and it has shoulder straps that are really comfortable if you’re having to haul it longer distances. It has organization inside which most duffels this size don’t. It has an extra compartment for dirty clothes or quick bags. The top cover is reinforced to provide protection if you threw a laptop or camera in there. It’s an awesome bag. We use it every road trip or camping trip now. Highly recommend!

Awesome duffel

I was searching for a bag that can handle all my gear for an upcoming mountaineering trip to the Peruvian Andes. It has to be just big enough to carry all my climbing and mountaineering gear, including a 75L backpack), the Stonehauler didn't disappoint, the internal compression straps are really useful, the padding is perfect, and the dirty clothes storage is just amazing, god knows how it is needed after a couple of days at the mountains. Heard a lot about some issues with the backpack straps but, in my case, i have a big back and wide shoulders so I didn't feel any kind of discomfort, at least not at the moment

Bomber materials. Needs a conventianal grab handle.

This duffle is super well made and thought out except for one thing. The traditional grab handle to move the duffle is missing. This is a mistake. You cannot lift the duffle upright, it has to be closed and carried on its side. Frequently I move my duffle around when packing, and want to lift it without closing it up. Also, for light, short, hauling using the hand loops is a preferred method. Eventually you might get used to the side carry, but the security of having two webbing loops that take the strain and not the zipper is a better design. I ended up adding a padded shoulder strap kity-corner over the top so I could grab it and carry it upright quickly. Two grab handles over the top on the next version please.

Fantastic duffle

I have 3 stonehauler duffles, and regularly use them as my luggage. I have used them from Alaska to central America, and they have been great. The backpack straps work great and are easy to remove. The other zippered pockets are nice for stashing small items. The only signs of wear after being thrown around and used is some dirt that I haven't cleaned off the outside of the bag. I recommend using packing cubes with it.

Burly and functional

I have long experience with the longtime leader in this category (P) and the Swiss mammoth’s equivalent. Here’s where I find the Stonehauler superior. 1) The end handles are thicker and more comfortable in my hand. 2) There are side handles of the same type. 3) The dirty boot/dirty clothes pockets are such a help. 4) I can’t imagine how the exterior material could rip any time soon. Knowing that it’s Blue Sign scores eco points too. 5) The colorway is attractive to my eye. 6) The zipper pull tabs are substantial and easy to identify. 7) The haul loops are bigger and more substantial. 8) While the body material is tough, the end caps are even beefier. 9) In a big bag, having internal compression straps is a big help so you’re not trying to navigate a black hole. 10) It’s so far been the only one on a baggage carousel. In summary, the Stonehauler looks good and shows close attention to real-world functionality.

Thoughtfully designed

I needed a bag with backpack straps that wouldn't fall apart after a few flights. This bag is perfect for that. The backpack straps aren't the most comfortable I've ever used, but they get the job done without adding extra bulk to the bag. Fits my ski boots/helmet nicely with well placed compartments.

So good I bought it twice

Spacious, robust, and with a super handy laundry compartment. I’ve had mine for a few months and when my other half’s (non-BD) duffel ripped recently, I picked up another. Whether it’s thrown in the bed of the truck, or lashed down in the canoe, these bags are as tough and versatile as they come.

Burly bag!

I did a lot of research on bags that could handle rough conditions (even at the airport), and this duffel checked all the boxes and then some. The material seems really durable, and I wouldn't hesitate to throw it on a mule in a rain storm. Plus, it's lightweight and made with recycled materials!

Great travel duffel

Great size for a week long trip or more. I’ve used it on two 5 day trips. Fits all the clothing I need with a lot of room to spare. Feels like durable material and I’m not afraid to just toss it in the van with the other gear. The dirty clothes compartment on the inside is pretty clutch.

90l stonehauler

Good strong bag with convenient pockets but the backpack strap has got to be one of the most uncomfortable ones I've ever worn. The top end of the strap isn't adjustable and is quite narrow thus making the plastic buckles dig into the back of your neck. Wish I has tested it out first
