Hiking shirt that I probably won’t use again

This hiking shirt was functional but not fun. It was frumpy and the cuffs annoyed me because the whole and the wrist part. I wish I could’ve closed it because bugs still got into that part and that bothered me. I’d like that it was like wait because that meant what I sweated in it sweat dissipated very quickly, so I didn’t have to worry about being sticky or anything. The zipper on the chest was an OK feature, but I don’t think it was needed feature. The vents on the back were annoying, and I wish it was just given more ruin the back instead of the feeling of wearing a shirt that was meant to expand that way.

Cool weather only.

This shirt unfortunately has very little going for it. Specifically advertised as "breathable", it's anything but. I struggled to find a temperature it excelled at, finally deciding activities in the 55-60 F range where you do not anticipate sweating are about the only safe zone. I took it on hikes, bike rides, wore it around town, struggling the whole time to accept it into my wardrobe, until finally relegating it to the trunk of my car as an emergency backup. I'll start with the cons, as they heavily outweigh the pros: -Does not breath, at all. It's a plastic shirt; it wears like plastic. In warmer temperatures where its touted UV blocking would come in handy, you will be covered in sweat and dying to roll up the sleeves or take it off, defeating the cover-up purpose. In cooler temps it's ok... until you start to sweat, at which point it retains heat and you're again left sweltering. I even started to sweat in it walking a few city blocks on a cool day. -As another review mentioned, it's quite... frumpy. Especially in the teal/green color I tested, this isn't going to be a shirt you wear around town. And since it's also bad on the trail, it has no happy home. Definitely did not pass the spouse's approval test. Pros: -The nylon fabric is soft and comfortable on my skin, and it held up well over prolonged use. Neutrals: The closures are snaps vs buttons. It's quite handy being able to quickly rip the thing off, but I can see them coming open inadvertently when snagged. Button line: Avoid, or only buy heavily discounted.

brilliant t shirt

Protects from sun. Much colder inside Runs bigger, as it intended to have air to isolate heat. Air ventilation on a high level SoFlo review, where heat is always outside.

Lightweight, with good ventilation, dries quickly. What else do you need for a good hike?
