These shoes are rock hard. I wore them for 5 hours and the next day I still have red marks on the back of both my ankles. Other reviews mentioned they were tight in the toebox and they are. I have the Prio and they are super comfortable. These are a great color and look but extremely uncomfortable. I will be returning these today.
I’ve never tried on a sneaker style shoe with a shallow toe box before. The top of the shoe pressed down on the top of my toes. Unwearable because it was so uncomfortable and couldn’t be resolved by loosening the shoe laces. I own another pair from them and they fit perfectly so I’m disappointed this brand is so inconsistent.
I wanted to like these shoes. The zero-drop sole was attractive because I want stronger feet, and I liked the style of these shoes. I have a short, wide foot, and the wide toe box felt very comfy; however, the top of the shoe, at the end of the laced section, just behind the toe box, was too tight in both sizes I tried. I couldn't go another size higher because the shoes would be too long. I had the same problem with some Altra trail runners. If you have a wide or sturdy foot, these may not work for you.
This has been a great casual shoe. I have used them on short backpacking trips (6-7 mile day; packing 28 pounds) and they did well, however it is doubtful I will use them for long hike, such as 16-20 mile days. I have not tried trail running in them, as of yet - I currently use a different shoe for that. They fit true to size, I wear a women's size 10.
I was excited when I first put these on — but after a few moments on my feet, I realized that they were far too tight across the ball of my foot. Other Xero shoes fit me very well, so this style is an exception. They seem like good shoes, but sadly, will be be returned.
I took these on an international trip to use as my everyday shoes as well as my hiking shoes. They were perfect! Very lightweight. While hiking, some people were slipping on the rocks during the descent, but I had no problems whatsoever.
I am very pleased with these shoes. They are comfortable, roomy in the toe box, have good traction, and have held up well after months of hiking on rocky desert trails and walking cobblestone streets. If you like zero drop, these are good. I’ve worn zero drop for 5 years at least, started with Merrills, which I liked for years, but they started doing strange things with the tongue and lacing that I didn’t like, so I switched to Xero and plan to stick with them.
I have Mesa Trail II shoes from the zero shoes website. These are not the same. They are narrow and stiff. Even the lacing is different. Walked half a mile in them and my feet hurt so much I went home and changed. They’re going back tomorrow.
These are a game changer for me. My back pain is so much less than it was. I walk on average 8 to 10 miles a day and I have no complaints except I should have gotten them water proof. My foot pain is just gone. No more aching at all.
Super comfortable. Great traction. Cute color. Love these.
