I own the previous version (Tibet GTX) in 11.5 wide. Wanted to buy another pair, but the Evo is the new version and doesn't come in a wide. The last employed in this version is supposed to have a wider toe box. When I tried them on in the store with the socks I usually wear, they were very snug. Despite REI's excellent return policy, cannot depend on breaking the boots in to get the fit I need when my foot expands during 1 15-20 mile hike. I will take good care of the old version I have now and will send to Lowa for a resole this winter.
Been using this for many years. It hold up fairly good for what I do for work which is off trail hike. It last for 3-5 years for 3-5 miles hike per day.
The new lacing post appearing on the boot Tongue is worthless. The flat style device used on this boot in the past worked to keep the Tongue centered and pulled up as it should be. The rest of the boot is fine but won't be buying another Asolo due to the new lacing post.
