Excellent!
I’m so glad that Birkenstock has added a “rugged” sole to some of its sandals (called “crosstowns” for women). I have many iterations of the Arizona style, this Milano is an Arizona w a back strap. They just arrived today and they r beautiful! Can’t wait to wear them outdoors. They can’t be slipped on w the back strap already buckled, so I’ll have to get used to that. But as well as being the most comfortable and long lasting of sandals, they actually r beautiful! I appreciate that when I see someone else wearing them while shopping. Very pleased.
So soft as if barefoot
I have multiple Arizona Birkenstocks but they’re not walking shoes. Finally they have made a Crosstown style for women to have a better walking profile. They’re still not best for distance athletic walking, but this Crosstown Milano style is beautiful and OH SO comfortable!
Comfy off the bat, color is better in person
This shoe was comfortable off the bat! First off, the color is more beige and 'smokey' (?) than the picture. I was a bit worried about the color because in the pictures, it looks more yellowy beige but its an oiled leather 'tobacco' beige and looks different from the pictures. I bought these to compare the difference with the Birkenstock mogami. The mogami are obviously different since they are made of all plastic - the mogami rub against my pinky toe side bunion but these milano rugged do not, making them much more comfortable. Some people mentioned that feel wider and for me, that is a good thing. I was impressed how comfortable they felt off the bat, unlike my other birkenstocks which need some time to break in. I wear a 38 in birkenstocks and these feel true to size. In addition to color looking better in person, the shoe itself looks better in person too. Glad I discovered the 'rugged' birkenstock version and will look for more of these styles. Highly recommend!
Back strap is where it's at!
I got these because I wanted the ease of Birkenstock sandals w/o the struggle of keeping slip-ons on my feet. These are super easy to get on and off without undoing the straps, they're supportive, tough, and very comfortable to walk in. These have become a staple in my wardrobe.
