Wanted to clarify the sizing issue people are having. These come in a new fit. The old fit, like almost all clothing in the US, was vanity sized in the waist. So size 32 was actually 34", 34 was actually 36", etc. As stated on the product listing, the sizes have been adjusted and they recommend to size up from what you wore in the old fit. That's true - so now a 34 is 34", 36 is 36", etc. So no more vanity sizing. If you're in the range they recommend sizing up in, size up. It may also help to lay out your best fitting pair of pants. If the waist measures 17" across, double that to 34" for the actual waist, and go for a size 34. Hope this helps!
Do you squat, deadlift, and never skip dessert? Do you have thicc thighs, horse hips, and a dumpy so juicy your girlfriend is jealous? I do. And much as I would like to like them, these pants don't work for me at all. The size that would fit my upper legs and butt/hips - which, incidentally, was two sizes larger than what I wear in other brands - was sadly saggy in the waist and left tons of fabric flapping around my lower legs. These pants might work for my more gracile friends, but fellow gym kings and/or food enjoyers, you have been warned. These pants are not for those with well-developed glutes, quads, and hams.
Love these pants, I was so sad when I scuffed them a little bit being stupid trying to move some chicken wire and the sharp ends scuffed my leg. I will never not think of that. I have worn these hiking and love wearing them every time. They are durable, have so many pockets that range in sizes that you can fit whatever you would need to. The water repellency is top notch, I wore them in the snow and slide down snowy trails many times with many rocks on the trail and no scuffs and was pretty much still dry. Wore them in the rain, and again was perfectly fine. I love these pants. Would definitely and will most likely buy again.
First I got the Vidda Pro jacket and fell in love with the G-1000 material, then I realized there are Vidda Pro pants and had to get a pair. I got the first Vidda Pro Ventilated trousers three summers ago to match my jacket and they've been my favourite pants since. The material is sturdy without the bulk and when waxed it feels awesome. My favourite part besides their utility in camping/daily pocket stuff is how awesome these pants look. The bottom cuff can be tightened and can change the look of the pants giving you an alternate style on the go. The ventilation panels are really nice as well, I use them often during the summer, zippers hold up too. Easy recommend.
Love the Vida Pro Ventilated pants. Material sheds grime and water. Adjustable hem is a game changer. Plenty of room in the knees and seat, and flex material on the gusset also provides additional ventilation. Side vents zip from either the bottom or the top, which is great. Very full featured pant - not the lightest material, but very sturdy with plenty of venting. Great for work or the outdoors. Ignore all the whining about sizing - this is just from people who have become accustomed to US “vanity sizing.” Ignore the size you usually wear - take actual measurements. If you’ve got bigger hips/thighs/rear, they might feel too confining - but that’s the case for most non-US brands.
It is impossible to buy these pants online as the size will literally CHANGE between pairs. I just bought a 2nd pair of these exact same pants in the exact same size as the first pair i purchased but the new ones were AT LEAST 2 sizes too small. Both pair are marked 50 EU long (US 34) and they are COMPLETELY different size. I have to return the new pair now with no option to replace them with a larger size.
I really like the pants, but no back pockets was a surprise. The fit information is incorrect. Saying to go up a size for EU 46-52 is a mistake. I typically wear size 50 (34US) and I bought size 52. I can button them but they are very tight and restrictive. I also would like to be able to remove the metal hooks on the inside of both cuffs. I'm sure they serve a purpose, but being solid metal right in line with my ankle bone didn't feel great.
The only thing I have against these pants is that I don’t see why I wouldn’t just opt for another pair of Keb after trying these for a few months. Just about all the things they’re improved about the old Vidda Pro (stretch gusset, slimmer—though still too loose at lower leg), vents: those all exist on the Keb and are executed better there (vents are better placed and also at ankles), stretch goes beyond gusset, etc. I guess if you want an extra pocket and a knife holster go here, but I would just get the Keb. The fit on the Keb is also more forgiving because of stretch panel placement, making them more versatile for active pursuits.
I’ve been wearing these pants for both work and play for the last 3 years. Phenomenal in almost every way. Hard wearing, durable, and stylish. I do wish they were a bit thicker (like this version from years ago), but they are thick enough for construction work. They happen to be just right for backpacking in the Winds of Wyoming - warm days, cold nights. As to the comments from others about being too tight, order a larger size… Pockets are adequate for what I put in them but they are not giant cargo pockets. One of the best features is the strategic stretch material. Pants are never binding and always comfortable. Thank you for making an amazing product!
I got these as a Christmas gift and was very excited about them. I am male, 5'11" tall and about 170lbs. The size on these pants was 32 regular. I wore these pants just once on a snowshoeing adventure and I did not like these pants at all. The fit was poor (I looked like a clown in these pants as they were far too long) and there were no rear pockets. There were other pockets, but they were not placed well. The only positive I could tell was that these pants were made very sturdy, so they will last for a long period. Other than a great built quality, these pants are poorly designed and highly overrated. I returned them.
