No Difference for Sweaty Men
Luckily I had a gift cert and a clearance as I would never ever buy an $85 t-shirt of my own accord. I’ve read a ton of reviews and rankings to find the best moisture-wicking shirts out there and this was basically a consensus #1, but I’m here to tell you that it is no different than a cotton tee. Odor resistance? Oh, you have a winner there, my friend. But I’m soaking wet from a 3-mile run in the 70 degree heat of a Georgia morning and there ain’t nothing I’ve worn yet that wicks or dries quickly in the GA summer. Enjoy Nebraska’s flatlands and mild summers, but don’t boast about sweat-wicking until a hairy overweight middle-aged Dad has test driven your stuff in these Georgia conditions.
Little scratchy.
Bought this with points as a first-time buyer of a merino wool t-shirt as I was unsure of the cost-benefit. It is very light weight, wicks perspiration/dries quickly and did not have an odor, despite heavy perspiration. The only downside for me personally was the material was scratchy (on a scale of 1-5, I would give it a 2). I am normally sensitive to hot temperatures and being in an environment where the heat runs around 80+ degrees, I did not feel that this regulated heat very well. Will be taking with me traveling to a much colder environment this October, where I do so much better, and based on current the weight, wicking properties and no odor will probably be good for travel.
Great shirt!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Or the shirt to the eclipse the other day on top of a mountain in Arkansas and it was great. Super comfy and breathable!
Not durable at all.
Was wearing it for two days carefully but afterward a hole appeared on the t-shirt, the product is not quite durable.
Paper thin, holes after first wash, what happened?
If you want a super light weight shirt where your nipples and chest hairs poke through this will be your jam. I have 15 year old Ice Breaker base layers that have held up better than these shirts after 2 months. I bought 3 of these hoping to come closer to my lifelong goal of maximum merino wool in my wardrobe. I've been wearing and caring for Merino wool for 20 years. These wore holes after the first wash. 150 is too light for a daily wear T-shirt. Please make a heavier weight version of this. I'll pay more. Pretty please :)
I have 5!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 short-sleeved T's and 2 long-sleeved T's. Except for one dress shirt, they are the only shirts I pack for traveling. The reviews you've read are true. They easily can go 3 days without a wash and still look, smell and feel great. If they do need a hand wash in a hotel sink - or wherever - they easily dry overnight. They also roll-up tightly, so they are space-saving in my carry-on. If you are going to hot climates I recommend the darker color which won't show sweat as easily as the lighter ones. #TravelOn!
Best T
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought these in men's & women's for a 3 week trekking adventure. These shirts are awesome. You can easily rinse to freshen up when you have access to running water, they dry quickly and don't hold any funky smell, perfect for travel. We took 2 for each of us, so that one could be rinsed/dried and the other worn. Excellent purchase & worth the price. Weight is heavy enough to wear like a regular T (vs undershirt) but light enough to keep you cool on warm days & dry quickly when washed. Highly recommend.
Merino Tech Lite II Short Sleeve T-Shirt
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Merino Tech Lite II Short Sleeve T-Shirt is hands down one of the best t-shirts I've owned. It's lightweight, soft, and super versatile, making it perfect for everything from hiking to casual wear. Why I Love It: ✔ Soft & Comfortable - No itch, just smooth merino that feels great against the skin. ✔ Breathable & Moisture-Wicking - Stays cool in warm weather and dries quickly. ✔ Odor-Resistant - Worn it multiple times between washes, and it still smells fresh. ✔ Great Fit & Versatility - Works well as a standalone tee or a base layer. A Couple of Considerations: ⚠Fabric is lightweight, so be mindful of snags. ⚠A bit pricey, but the quality and durability make it worth it. If you're looking for a high-quality merino t-shirt that's comfortable, breathable, and perfect for any occasion, this one's a winner. I'll definitely be buying more!
It's what you're expecting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the shirt will do what you are buying it for. It's not a fashion shirt that you will wear in daily life to look good. It's a shirt you will take on long term travel or doing outdoor adventures and it fits and looks like that. I will say it doesn't look bad, I would wear it out in town while traveling, but if you're looking for something that you'll wear to look good in daily this ain't it.
Poor quality and durability.
poor quality, shirt ripped with a slight tug on the sleever after just the third time worn. You really have to be careful with the care of this material, it has a gauze like feel. Very light and comfortable, but just far to fragile for outdoor use; especially for anything like backpacking . The SmartWool equivilent t-shirts are far better made and very durable and even more comfortable.
