not good

Very stiff material. So I guess it is waterproof. The thickness of the string is odd. There are more items than expected.

Very well made, but not for its intended purpose

Robust, waterproof, and visually attractive. However, it's not a crossbody bag, it's exclusively a hip bag. It is far too large and rigid to comfortably wear across one's torso (Medium shirt size, 5'10"), even after softening it with steam. The strap connection is also designed in opposition to wearing it across one's torso. The side of the bag with the loop attachment to the strap is angled the wrong way to let the strap bend around the body and over one's shoulder. It is angled in a way that keeps the strap extending perfectly straight from the side of the bag. This makes it very effective as a hip bag, but perfectly inappropriate as a crossbody bag. When wearing it as a crossbody bag, that strap connection forces the bag to twist away from you as though it were top-heavy, unless you tighten it firmly, but then it is even more uncomfortable as the rigid material creates sharp edges that dig into you despite the pad on the back. Strangely, the "mantis waist pack" is designed as a much better crossbody bag, and this crossbody bag is designed as a much better waist pack. Unfortunately the mantis is not waterproof.

Hi Mo. Thanks for sharing your feedback on the Granville Crossbody Bag. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with the design and that it did to suit your needs as a crossbody bag. We will pass your comments to our team.

Great Travel Companion

This bag has been awesome to travel with. I've been able to fit all the travel essentials (wallet, passport, phone, powerbank, masks, keys) into the bag and ensure my key personal belongings are on my person when out and about. I've been using the bag as a hip bag while running and mountain biking and the internal pocket fits a phone and keys which helps limit the movement of items inside the bag and keeps things a bit more organized. I have been able to fit smaller cameras into the bag as well which keeps it as a good option for lightweight travel.

Great Running Sling

I bought the Granville Crossbody to serve as a running belt/sling that holds just the bare necessities: phone (fits snuggly in zippered pocket), car keys, wallet, and sometimes air pods or a light rain layer. I feel like it fulfills this niche perfectly. As other reviewers note, 3L listed size seems like a stretch; it feels more like 1L bag to me, which is fine for my use, I didn’t want something floppy. It gets extra points with me for the tough waterproof material, good color options and aesthetic design. It is nice enough to support a seamless trail to brewery transition, as sometimes happens.

Capacity/Manufacturing

The bag is marketed with a 3L capacity. However, it just fits sunglasses, phone (Pixel 7) keys and a foldable reusable bag. It struggles to lay flat against your back when worn with the strap across the front. I could still love this bag but the glue is exposed along the seams and for the price I feel torn. Bellroy may win out in the end!

Just about perfect EDC bag

I purchased this bag in February and have worn it nearly ever day since. I have other EDC bags I love but haven't even thought about those in the last six months - that's how much I've enjoyed this bag. Pros: The bag itself is super lightweight. The way this carries, it feel like part of my body and I forget I'm wearing it most of the time. I love the Canvas color - it goes with all my clothing Sturdy and stain resistant. It looks brand new still. Zipper is strong and easy to operate. Like any welded zipper, it's stiff at first but quickly loosens up with use. I'm plus size (wear women's 2X on top) and was worried the strap wouldn't work without extending it but was thrilled to find the strap is long enough with room to spare to hang with some slack adjusted to the longest setting. Cons: I wish this was just slightly bigger to fit everything I carry (a slim wallet, lipstick, keys and fob, hand sanitizer, and pen) and my sunglasses. I can fet the sunglasses in if I Tetris everything but it's a tight fit that squishes the sunglasses so not ideal. This feels smaller than 3L. I have a 3L bag from Patagonia that fits more but doesn't hug my body the same way so a tradeoff I guess. I don't need another color (or bag!) right now but would absolutely repurchase.

LOVE THIS BAG

My go-to cross body bag for: hikes, neighbourhood walks with my dog, quick trips to the grocery store, quick access to important things during flights, traveling through Italy. It's the perfect size and can hold more than I originally expected and even when it's full, it isn't bulky. Love the look of this bag, it is sleek and the canvas colour is *a chef's kiss*. This was the perfect little bag for bringing to Europe as I was able to put necessities in it, keep it close to the body, and it was small enough to put into my Konseal 15 when necessary. 10/10 would recommend.

Like the bag, hate the straps

I’ve had this bag for a few months now and use it mostly as a sling bag. I’ve wanted something to toss my phone, keys, wallet, and other small daily essentials when I’m out in the city or on hikes. The stiff/waterproof fabric also made it great for my use. However, I quickly hated the straps. They were thin, uncomfortable, and there was so much excess strap hanging out when I tightened it as a belt bag (fyi, I’m about a 31 inch in the waist). The good thing is you can easily remove the straps and replace it something else, which I eventually did.

I like it because it’s waterproof.

When it rains while hiking, it is good because it is somewhat waterproof so the contents do not get wet. However, the material is not soft.

Love it 10/10

I have had other cross body bags and wanted something that wasn’t too big, fitted well against the body and looked good. I love this bag and wear it everyday. Can comfortably fit I phone 15 Pro Max, bunch of keys, small wallet, pen and coins. It’s quite a stiff material and unusual but robust and water resistant. Also really like the subtle logo on the front which is reflective and looks good.
