This is the shoe you want
Buen Camino

I bought these shoes in July to wear while walking the Camino Frances. Although it seemed at the time the Hoka brand was popular on the 500 mile journey I chose to wear the cloud horizon brand. I could not be more pleased with this shoe! Not only were they extremely comfortable the entire time, ( not one blister!) but they held up beautifully! Even during one downpour, where I was wading in ankle deep water, they had completely dried out by the next morning! If you are looking for the shoe to get the job done and be comfortable the entire time, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Loved these - at first...beware of squeaky soles

I am 100% a Hoka girl, especially with plantar fascitis and bone spurs in both heels. I did not love the Hoka hiking shoe options, but I tried these on and loved them! I wore them on several hikes, as well as walking our pup through the woods/on trails. Unfortunately, after about a month or so, they started to squeak. I thought it was from being wet, but they now squeak all the time. It's extremely annoying to me and even my husband has commented on how loud they are. I was really hoping to be an On customer for all hiking shoe needs, but after these squeaky soles, I don't think I can do it.

Super comfortable and lightweight hiking shoes

I received the Cloudhorizon shoes in Fog-Mahogony for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. This was my first time wearing the Cloudhorizon shoes and they were comfortable right out of the box. Normally I wear a thicker sock when going on a two hour hike, but my regular running socks fit comfortably with the shoes that were true to size. The Fog-Mahogany color looks so good too! I hiked on dirt and rock terrain and the shoes gripped well on the steep rocky incline-I was pleasantly surprised! I had no trouble walking over slick rocks in the streams either. Usually I wear hiking shoes with higher ankle support but these shoes were so comfortable on a hot day that I can definitely see them being my staple pair for future hikes. I wear an 8.5 and these fit true to size. I felt like they supported my feet perfectly. These are definitely quality shoes!

Very comfortable trail shoe

Shoe review This is a review for the ON Cloud horizon. For reference, I typically wear brands with a wider toe-box for running & hiking. I don’t typically order a wide width but I was sent the wide width to review this shoe. I liked the extra toe-box room on this width but would probably stick to medium width in this brand. I typically wear a 9 or 9 1/2 got these in a 9 1/2 because they’re for hiking so I need the extra room for thick socks and pending foot swelling (with long distances). This shoe has a very high quality material look and feel. They have a good bit of cushion when bearing weight and walking, which I like. The soles have nice thick treads but when tested on rocks they didn’t have the grip I would expect. They even felt like they slipped on wet wooden bridges so I wouldn’t recommend for those types of surfaces. I tested the water resistance by trekking through some wet areas (it’s winter-early spring so no tall vegetation) and my socks stayed dry, even after dipping my toes in the river. Overall I would recommend these as a high quality, water resistant, comfy-cushiony trail (paved trail) shoe.

Comfortable and durable

I got these for my teenage daughter who is hard on her shoes. She was in need of everyday school shoes that were durable and comfortable. She said they were comfortable right out of the box and after about two weeks of continuous wear, she said they feel even better (and still looked new). With my daughter's student exchange in Poland approaching, we knew she would be walking quite a bit in varied terrain and, with limited packing space, needed a shoe that could tackle just about anything. I am happy to report that these shoes were the perfect choice. They have remained comfortable while being durable and up to any substrate. I would highly recommend.

Outta the box comfort!

These have supplanted my previous “name” brand running shoes! Cushioning & overall comfort are a definite thumbs up. Out-of-box comfort & EVEN improved after wearing! Lengthwise it fits true to size. Footbed narrow, but I LOVE it!(My feet are more on the narrow side.). Toe box roomy enough for my digits to spread out during impact. Arch support was descent. Lightness & ergonomic design kept my lower extremities from fatiguing so soon whilst trail running/hiking. Tested on slippery rocks & they passed. Waterproofness proven by trekking through mud puddles. Mahogany/fog color is neutral, earthy & warm. Really an all-purpose, stylish everyday shoe. Taking with me as 2nd pair to hike the Santiago de Compostela!

Put a little pep in your step

These shoes are exactly what I have been looking for walking and running short distances. Giving me a little boost of confidence every time I put them on. At first they look a little different, the only downside I have have found is when your off trail sometimes sticks and plants get stuck in the holes on the bottom…not a biggy.

Lightweight cushioned comfort

The first thing I noticed about the On Women's Cloudhorizon Hiking Shoes is how lightweight they are; so much so I wasn't sure whether they would provide the support I usually look for in a hiking shoe. In the end, the lightweight design proved to be a plus, especially after a long walk or being on my feet all day. The foot feels secure and supported in the shoe, sizing is true to size, the toe box is roomy, and the heel area is comfortable straight out of the box. The cushioning is probably what sets this hiking shoe apart from others I have. Overall feels more like a trail running shoe but a comfortable option I'm looking forward to wearing more.

A high performing hiking shoe!

I am overall impressed with this On product. The color combo is unique and they are stunning in person. They feel very sturdy on the outside and when I first put them on, I thought they would be too rigid and uncomfortable. To my delight, they are cushiony in the sole. I tried them on various trails (sand/dirt, rocky, gravel) as well as an everyday shoe commuting to work, just for comparison purposes. On the trails the performance was excellent...they were grippy on rocks and gravel and very comfortable, no matter the terrain and length of time (up to 2 hours). Even in light rain, no water seeped through so I can only imagine how awesome the GTX version is. As a street shoe, I thought they'd be more comfortable yet my feet were a little sore by the end of the day. But on the trails, they excel. This is my first pair of On shoes and I can see why friends like them so much! I'm very impressed and can't wait to put more miles on them.

Only On Cloud shoes I will wear

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I have tried On Cloud shoes many times before, but never purchased because I always felt they did not support my foot enough. These shoes not only got a lot of compliments when I wore them, but they are very comfortable. I have wider feet that are too small for wide and too wide for narrow. These fit perfect and are true to size. I do not like running and these shoes made me want to run. I have only been wearing them for a few weeks, so I don't know how long they will hold up, but they are my go to shoes now.
