These are my 11th pair of altras. I loved the Torin 4, they then made radical changes. I bounced around then landed on the Rivers. But the third edition was different from earlier versions and made the switch to the provision. Loved the 6th and the 7th was better. I couldn't wait to try the 8th when I needed a new pair. I have worn them now for over a month and I am started to have the some of the same issues that I had with the Rivers 3. My toes hurt after a run. I also noted a change to the heel fit. This is the first time I had the issue of my heel lifting out of the shoe. I locked my laces which helped but the feel of the shoe is not the same. I never had this issue in 25 years of running. I went back to the provision 7 and waiting for the 9 to see if it is fixed. If not, I am going back to Asics. It is a shame because I love the zero drop and foot shape shoes. Why do they mess with what works?
I tried every pair of Altras and the Provisions are by far the best! Please never change this shoe! But do please make better colors. A black upper with a brown gum sole would be amazing! Call me for guidance on shoe colors haha you guys have some of the worst colors in the running shoe market. Everyone I know hates 90% of the colors you guys make.
I wear more for walking than running. I need the wide toe box and these are the best fit I can find. Only complaint I have is the color they call "White/Blue" is not accurate. The liner is blue but the exterior has a definite green gray color, not blue to my eye.
I like that the shoes are narrow through the center. Really supports the arch of my feet. I'm a nurse and standing or walking all day and once these are settled to your feet, they're awesome!
Finally, you guys got it right. Aside from more colors, don't change a thing. I suggest adding a yellow pair. Also, I use these everyday in the warehouse I work at and my feet feel great.
I returned the shoes on 12/8 and still did not get a refund. The shoes are absolutely massive and do not fit true to the size. That was the second pair I bought and had to return.
This is my 3rd pair of provisions. The tread on the 8's seems to have worn out quick, less than 100 miles on them. Fit and comfort is amazing, but need better tread.
The Provisions have nailed it the last few rounds. 7 and 8 are perfect, don't change a thing. Although, maybe some non-white base options and more vibrant colors?
Been an Altra wearer for a decade but this is the second time I've had shoes that were off their usual sizing by about a half a size. Disappointing.
Please just add at classic black & white combo & an all white or an un dyed version to every release or atleast to the Torin line
