Love Longer Life
Love my GoPro! I recently purchased the extended life battery to see for myself. I immediately purchased several more. More footage on my outdoor adventures is great. Thank you, Scot
Bought 5 and 3 no longer work!
I bought 5 of these at the same time 2 months ago and 2 stopped working. Yesterday, I went back and forth with GoPro all day and they were only willing to replace ONE of the batteries because that’s “all they could do.” Umm…that’s BS! They clearly don’t stand by their products. It took an hour to get the rep to say they’ll send me two, but I won’t believe it until I have two batteries show up at my door. Today, a THIRD battery has gone bad. Gee…I wonder if GoPro will replace that one too? These batteries are horrible. They sure promise a lot, but there’s no longevity at all and GoPro will not stand by their products. Do not buy these.
Don't even think about to purchase GoPro Hero 10 !!!
I sold my 2 GoPro Hero 8 Black edition cameras to upgrade them with GoPro Hero 10 and this was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Since day 1 I am having issues. It shuts down while recording and when I turn it on, it gives battery warnings while the battery is almost full. They replaced both cameras with the new ones, same issues. I wanted them to send me Enduro batteries to test if they fix the issues, they rejected to send me Enduro batteries. After spending another good amount for the Enduro batteries, I was expecting all my problems will go away. Nope! I downgraded the firmware from 1.40 to 1.16 nothing is changing. Issues and more issues. Waste of time. Waste of money. Any cheaper camera can do the job way better. Do not waste your money for this junk.
Mehmet, Thanks for the feedback. We believe in the HERO10. No video camera on the market is as unobtrusive due to its small size and yet provides such amazing visual acuity. This is the result of a new processor. The counter to that power is it takes a lot of battery life. It helps if the camera itself is updated. https://youtu.be/vVC7YOY5axw As for getting started, this video can be very informative. https://youtu.be/wDXV1lW5rSE This video can be very informative for finding the right settings and optimum performance. https://youtu.be/wDXV1lW5rSE For overheating, this article offers some insightful tips. https://community.gopro.com/s/article/HERO10-Black-Camera-Is-Too-Hot?language=en_US This YouTube tutorial also offers insight https://youtu.be/sWRyYOcTr9U For even more battery life, there’s VOLTA, an external source of power that offers up to 3X battery life. https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/volta/APHGM-001-master.html Here’s a tutorial on how to get more life out of your battery. https://youtu.be/w3MOHpD3OzA Also, here’s a tutorial on uploading GoPro files https://youtu.be/dCcikzW43bA Finally, for any other questions, please reach out to Customer Support here: https://community.gopro.com/s/?language=en_US Hope this helps, -Team GoPro
Every Little Helps
Loving the new extended life GoPro batteries! I bought two as a back up for my hiking trips as I was always had to change my previous batteries but these sure are long life, so much better!
Goes the distance
Put this new enduro in my rotation of 3 . Lasted at least 20% longer than the normal. Going back for another for sure.
Great battery
Last longer anytime but especially in the cold. Worth the few extra dollars.
No pass through charging capability
For some context, I use my GoPro Hero 9 black to stream directly to Twitch. With the default battery, I get around 1:30min on a full charge. Here is why I deducted 3 stars from a perfect 5-star rating for the Enduro battery: -1 While livestreaming, this Enduro battery does not last any longer than the default battery -2 When attempting to extend the life of my stream when this battery was dying, I usually plug in my charger to the camera to keep the party going with the default battery. But I was disappointed to find out that this Enduro battery did not have pass-through charging capabilities so I was forced to end my stream, replace the battery, and restart the stream. The environment I was in was also temperature-controlled so I can't speak to the cold temp endurance this battery boasts...
Inkretible, Thanks for the feedback. Here's an item that perhaps may help you have uninterrupted streaming. https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/usb-pass-through-door/ADCOD-001.html Also, for battery life that lasts up to three times as long: https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/volta/APHGM-001-master.html -Team GoPro
Does not make sense
Does somebody want to tell me why this battery does not ship to CANADA! This battery is literally made for the cold and for activities such as skiing, where, in Canada that's literally all we got to film. But no, I'm stuck with a battery that does not let me record after it hits 50% because there's not enough battery life. Like come on people some common knowledge of where to send your products can't be that hard to find. For now I guess I'll just have to go skiing with 18 batteries.
Nathan, Thanks for reaching out. It's a complicated answer, but we don't allow a standalone Battery to ship alone to Canada because it is a dangerous good and it has to go ground shipping. We only have air shipping for Canada. The way around that is that the customer has to buy a camera that is compatible with the battery they are buying with it. That way the order can go air. But, short answer, we don't ship any battery to Canada without camera. It may not help, but hope this increases your understanding. -Team GoPro
Great footage,But poor cam performance.
I use it for salt water kayak fishing and use a power pack to keep them running, leaving on for hindsight use but will not charge when in hindsight function because it senses that cam is on and it will not charge if cam is on. Also filmimg in higher resoulutions and fps for a short time ,it overheats and shuts down. have to wait till it cools off before can restart and not easy to do out on the water. For the price we pay,I am not happy with it's performance.
Israel, Thanks for reaching out. GoPro cameras are designed to go where you, but keeping them in power in some conditions is trying. Here's a great video on charging the GoPro, some with outside devices. https://youtu.be/MAvUDI_4wPQ Hope this helps, -Team GoPro
When it's good it's great
So, this is my second foc. Replacement (the GoPro subscription is definitely worth the money) The GoPro system and result quality is superb, but its robustness leaves a little to be desired especially for an action camera. My first hero 9 had to go back because it would randomly corrupt the memory card and the second one stopped working with the media mod probably, and I am only guessing, because you have to take it off if you want to download the videos using a cable. I know you can upload to the cloud but that takes an Internet connection and sometimes there isn't one. I have also just bought the bigger capacity batteries so hopefully the well known overheat and cold issues will improve. I haven't used them a lot yet but so far so good. Maybe I am not as gentle with my equipment as may be I should be but that's why I bought the GoPro in the first place
