Sturdy & a nice integrated look
The installation was pretty easy on my '22 Subaru Forester Wilderness (XS & XXS). The installation video at Yakima.com was helpful. The bars look great and have a more integrated look than my previous Timberline tower / Jetstream bar combo. These bars also sit a little lower than that combo, maybe by 3/4 of an inch or so. Overall I like the look and they feel solid. Can't wait to test them out! REI shipment came a few days earlier than originally estimated, which is always fun!
Gearing up for Road Trip 2024
Appreciated the REI Store associate offering me all the options and the personal expertise associated with his own roof carrier experiences. This more streamlined style set of crossbars were fine for me, vs the one's giving several more inches of mounting space when they extend outward past the roof's rails they're mounted on. I like the locking factor.
