The North Face  Back-To-Berkeley IV Regen Boots - Men's

Not technically a hiking boot, they do fine for around town wear. They really are leather; you can smell the leather. And they are very comfy. Almost as comfy as a slipper. Now I did make one primary mod; I replaced the footbed with one that is a bit more defined. The original footbed was soft and flat. I also played with changing the laces. The original laces look and work well; I just tried different looks (color.) I think they are nice boots. The footbed took one star.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in search of an everyday boot for commuting and work. So something with both form and fucntionality as opposed to a straight up work boot. This is an excellent boot with great traction and comfort that breaks in nicely. It has plenty of space for when you want to throw on a thicker wool sock. I've worn these to the office and small hikes. They also wash/wipe clean very easily.

After wearing them for about a month I decided to wear them on a hike and they worked great. My only criticism is that the insole that comes with the boot isn't the best but most boots factory insoles aren't the best so if you want something with good or custom fit put ones in you like.

Comfortable, excellent traction and ankle support, adequately waterproof (albeit not to total/partial submersion) and more ventilating than the original Back-to-Berkeley boots circa 2018. Very adaptable if internal arch support insoles are needed.

I did some last-minute yard-work before the first snowfall of the season in a northern state of the Great Lakes region and my feet were kept adequately warm and dry.

Warm - good fit - right amount of stiffness in the sole. Upper lacing allows for easy adjust of ankle support. Light weight.
