The strap buckles are roughly half the size as on the (30L?) Stormfront roll-top that I bought off the shelf in the Ballard (Seattle) Patagonia store several years ago. Buckling up my 30L Stormfront was quick and mindless ... I was surprised to find myself having to stop and focus on buckling the chest strap on this 40L Disperser. Also I see now that Patagonia dot com shows this in other colors. It would've been nice if rei dot com made me aware that colors other than black were available.
We will see about long term durability. I do not have the faith I once did in the brand. The return policy is much different than when I first discovered the once across the board AWSOME products too. Four 90 degree angles when a simple round shape would have less chances of failure. I intend to use it for fishing paddling and as a motorcycle bag. So far it works for me and what I was expecting/hoping for.
