The material for these gloves feel great with great grip in the palm. I've only worn the gloves in temperatures down to 40 degress and they have kept my hands nice and toasty. I have small hands and have difficulty finding gloves that fit me well but these are just about right at a size 'L'. Therefore be warned that since these gloves are unisex, the sizing may not be what you are used to so definitely check the sizing chart if you are ordering them online.
I have Reynauds and bought these for a base layer, either to wear alone while hiking or add a powered mitten on top. They are very warm for their weight/thickness and tolerant of warmer temps, making them suitable for 30-60F temps, depending on my exertion. I liked them so much I bought a second pair for my ski kit. The second pair quickly developed a hole at the seam and REI replaced them. My first pair is now wearing through (not at the seam) after 1.5yr of use. I sewed up one of the fingers, but it is failing and so are other spots. I'm mostly hiking in them, using zippers/buckles, not hard on them. 5 stars for performance, but given the price and lack of durability, they are 2 stars for me. I otherwise generally like REI branded clothes.
Without wind works in about any cold weather with wind id say its a 32+ degree glove with wind as a factor. warm and tight to skin, I bought size XL and they were still a tiny bit small on me. Otherwise great gloves would recommend. Great for dog walks or cold weather walks/ runs.
Not great at blocking wind. Wore these first hiking on a 34F day with mild wind, hands were cold in the wind but warmed up okay when out of the wind. They’re soft and cozy otherwise.
Warm and grippy for dog walking. Fit perfectly as described in listing.
Love these gloves, great fit, very comfortable! I lost one glove and had to buy another set because I couldn’t be without them!
Love these gloves for driving & grocery shopping. Wish they could protect my fingers better against my Reynauds, though. Would recommend them for comfort.
These are the softest gloves and keep my hands warm. The touch screen thumb and index finger really works too.
Unusual for REI products, but the fingers split open after only 3 years in the snow. Two days of light skiing and one day of snow shoveling and the pointer finger on the right hand split open easily. Disappointing for paying $50 for a pair of gloves.
Fingertip works on Apple watch and phone. Excellent fit. Given the XS, and the finger length is perfect. In other brands, glove fingers are too long for my small hands. They are warm and soft on the interior, very flexible.
