I've had these gloves for several years, in an orange color no longer offered. They are permanently paired with a heavy parka I take ice fishing, a task very well suited to taking these shorter style gloves on and off over and over, and in routinely wet conditions well suited to Gore-Tex liners. I also apply leather balm wax to the leather portion each year to keep them happy, as they are now about 7-8 years old and still in excellent condition, well broken in with my hands. I would absolutely recommend these for winter outdoor enthusiasts, and will replace them some day as necessary.
I was initially skeptical of these gloves. I like short cuff gloves and they felt very stiff in the shop but I got a pair and they exceeded my expectations. Wore them on a recent trip to Hokkaido, Japan, both in resort and touring in the back country, and I could not fault them... dry and warm hands in some pretty cold temperatures and snowy, windy days in the BC. The cuff was just the right length and bulk that I could either wear them over the top or underneath of my jacket sleeves. The wrist loops with the rubber 'hook savers' worked great, both hanging them to dry or letting the gloves dangle while fiddling with gear. Definitely recommend.
Gloves are great re water resistant but are not warm enough. I have to wear a liner in them skiing at Whistler. Probably better suited as a bike riding glove during winter months in Vancouver
These have quickly become my favourite pair this season. They are not very bulky, fit well, and keep my hand warm up to -20c on low output activities . Oddly I find them way warmer than my older Arc’teryx gloves. I bought the XL as I often have a hard time finding gloves that fit and they are great. The Velcro closure does take a bit to adapt to, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Durability as well seems good so far, fingers crossed. Would recommend.
I have been using these gloves for about six weeks, hoping they will improve, but not yet. The first day I used them my hands froze all day, but I chalked this up to the gloves being new and stiff. They fit it too tight and although I hoped that with time they would work into my hand's curvature, they have not yet done this. I had high hopes for these to become my daily, as they looked great, but they don't work for me and I will have to retire them.
Purchased for skiing, a few weeks ago. Haver worn them on 2 different ski days. Comfortable, REALLY well made, stylish, nice 'leash' to keep them from falling off on the lift, etc. Only question I have is...I've worn them in upper 20's temps, were fine. Will they be warm in really cold temps? Good fit, but room for the addition of a thin liner glove, if necessary. Sizing seems pretty true.
I’ve been using them this winter on dog walks, skiing and shoveling snow. These are now my favorite winter glove because of the dexterity (even when driving), warmth and the perfect sized adjustable cuffs who fits snugly over the Atom AR or Beta AR. They are warm when walking in temperatures down to -10C to -15C, and I have cold hands. I’m very happy with these gloves.
I use this glove for skiing. Have worn them in 20-30 degrees F and the have kept my hands and fingers warm. I do leak the leash system. They are a little bit too long for my taste, but it is not a big issue.
-Gore-Tex yet my hands were soaked within two hours in the snow (not even rain) -there is no system to keep the gloves from sliding down -disappointed in my cold and wet hands although I love arcteryx
Great gloves keeps hands nice and warm, and the collars sit under the jacket sleeve. I used these in temps as low as -10 and windy for 5 hours with no issues.
