It's a hit.
Great choice for outdoor, waterproof & fairly robust slip ons. I have several misses in this genre lately and returned them for being either too clunky, having irritating aspects of fit or feel (like this will get clammy quick). I have them right by the door, since I have a no-shoes-on-house, for numerous outings I have daily within my very walkable neighborhood. Now, longer power walks are another matter where waterproof running shoes are the mainstay...different animal.
Works in severe Lofoten winter weather
I have worn these shoes in Aspen, and most recently during ice and snow storms in Lofoten. Super comfortable and my feet stayed warm and dry. With waterproof socks by Sealskinz this is a win win situation.
Thank you for sharing your experience! Stay warm and dry out there!
Stand Out Review
Good if they're on a deal. Good in snow and for in between wearing hand made USA boots. For comfort and to basically thrash. Too bad the heal is missing leather. They work fine, but these are 1 year shoes. If you oil them etc , you "can" make them last. Good back up shoes for shoveling a driveway , throwaway shoes that are warm, comfortable, and have an ok Vibram sole. All the synthetics inevitability fall apart
Thank you for your rating!
Pretty snazzy & comfortable
I love my new Merrell’s. I was looking for a work shoe that I could easily slip on and off because who really feels like tying up shoes and untying shoes after a long day at work. Not me. These shoes make me feel cool and sophisticated plus they’re comfortable. It’s day one so we’ll see how they hold up. The only thing I did not like was the weird stain on my left shoe fresh out the box. (I assume) ?
Thanks for the awesome 5-stars!
Stay safe and on your feet all winter
A must have for winter walking on snow or ice with Vibram sole for traction.
Thanks for sharing Bill!
Too narrow, floor marking, inadequate insulation
I normally wear men's 10 or 10 1/2 with normal width. Based on reviews I ordered size 11. That size was long enough, but was unusually narrow. I might have tried to get accustomed to the feeling the my feet were in a binding, but then I noticed that these were leaving light marks on both my vinyl tile and my hardwood floors. By light I mean light colored, not dark at all, but almost like the color in the flooring was faded where I stepped. Finally, although I had never wore these outside, even inside my home they were not warm. Overall, I was disappointed and will return them.
Warm, toasty toes, and super comfortable
I bought these today and already LOVE it after walking all around town (12oF w windchill). Retired an uninsulated pair of boots for these and cannot say enough. The insulation keeps my feet toasted warm, I switched from uninsulated boots to these at the store and will soon drop the boots in a clothing donation box. I hope someone will get some use out of them. I love my warm moccs!!!
Thank you for sharing your great feedback!
Couldn't walk for 4 days without crutches...
I had unbelievable ankle bone pain (inner ankle area) from the rubbing the shoes do/did to my inner ankle. I couldn't figure out why I had this pain, and it didn't dawn on me that it was the shoes. The pain I got from the rubbing was so bad that I had to walk with crutches for 4 days. Once healed, I went back to wearing these shoes, and the pain started to came back. I then noticed the rubbing. It's slight, but constant. Would never have guessed that these shoes would hurt to wear, but they do. And, I've never spent this much on shoes before, but our winters get bad here, so I thought I'd bite the bullet and get a "good" pair. I'm not happy, and these expensive shoes are collecting dust.
OK despite a tough foot
I have been looking for a casual winter slip-on for a long time. I’m a tough fit for any non-lace up since I have no arches to speak of and am one of those with a 2nd toe as long or longer than my first. These are a snug fit at the toes in my usual size 12, as many waterproof shoes with toe caps are—but supportive and comfy enough to make me want to keep them. I do think they will loosen a bit with time. No discomfort so far wearing them a few hours at a time at home or short shopping trips. By far the best I’ve found, others either sloppy big or uncomfortably short in the toes
Poor quality and bad fit
Just a couple months in of moderate use and they are coming apart. They don't fit as good as they used to. Really disappointing that the quality has slipped so much. And there aren't a lot of options on the market that fit this same bill!
