Great - For the short term

I want to give these 5 stars, they're the best glove/mit I've ever owned. I've always struggled with cold fingers and these have been the warmest, most funtional mit's I've owned beating out other leather mits and a plethora of gloves over the years. However, after a season and a half (I ski about 60-80 days a year but rotate between spring gloves, other mits, and these), they are really peeling. The thumbs are grinding down to the base fabric letting in wind and water. All grip material in the palm is cracking, and quickly getting worse. I would 100% recommend these gloves if you don't ski too many days in the cold, or are just looking for 1-2 seasons.

Warm, Breathable, Storm-Ready

Put these mitts to use immediately in a winter storm and they passed every test. Toasty warm? Check. Wind and Waterproof? Check, and Check. Grippy palms? Check. While working outside in a heavy wet snow blizzard my hands stayed warm and dry, despite working up a sweat. The leashes are awesome - why don't every mitt and glove come with at least the option for leashes? I digress. These units proved themselves worthy on an otherwise brutal day to be outside. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

My hands 1 - Kilimanjaro 0

Cold temps at basecamp and summit day couldn’t break through these mittens. I did wear a lighter pair of adidas climawarm underneath so I could remove these to open snacks, etc. worked well with hiking poles too. Nighttime temps were below freezing so slept with these on and stayed cozy. Bringing them on every cold camping trip from now on

Warm hands at -30+

Kept my hands warm in -30+ temps for over 2 hours in Montana deep freeze. Well worth the cost. The fleece liner of comfortable and easy to get on and off.

Value and performance

I took these mittens for a week of skiing in Colorado. Temperatures were in the mid teens and my hands stayed warm. They are well made. Despite full days of heavy use there is no signs of wearing. The wrist lanyards was a nice feature which allowed me to remove them for needed dexterity without fear of dropping them while on the lift. For the price, this was a great value.

These mittens are WARM

These mittens are awesome. I was looking for something that would keep my hands from freezing while backpacking in temperatures around 0F. My extremities already run cold, so gloves just aren't going to cut it for me. I decided to try these mittens over the more expensive High Exposure model, and I have no regrets! I took them backpacking in the Enchantments -- snow-covered and temps around 0-15F. My hands were TOASTY! I paired them with the Power Stretch liners and had to take the mittens off a few times because my hands were so hot -- a great problem to have while backpacking in the snow! I usually wear a Women's Large in gloves and sized up to a Medium in these so that I'd have plenty of room for a thicker liner/ handwarmers inside. The fit is pretty roomy, but works well for me. If you're looking for a warm mitten at a great price point, try these out!

Very warm.

I bought it a few weeks ago and went on a moderate snow hike with it and kept my hands very warm. My hands get very very cold and it kept them warm for the most art. My hands had a 8" circumference and I got a medium but maybe a small would have been better. Hard to tell without being in the store and trying in on.

The gloves are warm and comfortable, but they arrived damaged. The return/warranty process is painful.

The gloves are warm but arrived damaged. Rather than replace them or refund, the company suggested warranty service which will give a credit rather than repairing them. This is all slow and painful to get resolved.

Great mittens

Warm. Medium sized allows me to still use liners and I usually take a large glove. I'm glad I got these, they have been finger savers this winter. The wrist cuffs are very helpful and keep me from losing them.
