i bought 2 pairs a couple months ago on another website and they are amazing!!! They are so multi-purpose from canoe trips to long hikes. The vents in both the top and bottom parts of the pant are amazing. the pockets are so usefull the reenforced butt and knees are amazing the only thing i would change is i would make the croutch strechy due to the fact ive busted the open when flipping canoes.
I bought these for a trekking trip to Peru. They are now my favorite hiking/tracking pants. They are so comfortable, the pockets are amazing. And the venting options made them comfortable in Various temperatures. I am thinking about getting another pair. I often have issues with the waist gapping but not even a little bit with the curvy fit.
I had been searching for the best, water resistant, hiking pants that offered me protection at the knees and butt for scrambling, and potential falls, warmth yet ventilation when hot, while also giving the right amount of "give" or stretch. Found this brand new pant, and they are perfect! Yes they carry a pricier price tag, but they are awesome: Rugged, comfortable, heavy duty quality, stretch, pockets, vents all in one! Multiple vents too- hips, shins, reinforced knees and buttocks', stretch in crouch and hips. Sizing- I'm usually a 8-10 in Prana (athletic build, 5'7", 155 lbs, but theses were better to size down to an 8 for a good fit.
I am leaving a review for all the fellow ladies struggling with the different Fjallraven size charts. I am 5'7" with a short torso. These sit at my belly button, which measures 36". My hips at their fullest are 45". I purchased size 44eu and feel like I have plenty of room to move. I am really sensitive to any tight clothing, but if you prefer a snug fit and have my measurements, I could have gone one size down. Also, the green shade is much darker and subdued in person, which I knew from researching other people's photos! These will get used more for deer lease hiking, exploring, and hunting and in comparison to my Sitka gear, I'm really excited about how much more durable these appear to be. If you are in a similar situation, they are noisier.
I love these pants. They are great for cold weather hikes or a casual walk on a windy day. The fit is a bit bulky on the thighs, design and seam placements are all well thought out. They have stretch throughout the inseam and crotch but the waist does not. I typically wear an XS and I had to go with a size EU36 which I guess is a size US4 as stated on the pant tag. Almost like I can’t even eat or drink a few beers while wearing it because it hurts. No stretch on the belt at all. I have to unzip every time after eating 🤣 I wish they would fix this because I do like a fitted look and maybe then I would get my actual size which is a 2 but regardless, these pants are absolutely worth every penny.
Probably my favorite trail pants I've bought. Loaded with details - like the ability to clip the cuff to your shoe laces and a zippered thigh pocket if you need to secure important items. The fabric is super sturdy, doesn't snag and seems to shed dirt. They are my go-to for trail work, hiking (in cooler temps) and camping. A note on sizing: I think they are a pretty slim fit and agree with the other reviewer that they aren't necessarily "curved." I have a 26" waist and 34" hips (so - no hips). I usually have to size down because the hips don't match the waist proportion. Without a hip measurement available, I went with the 34 EU in these and they fit perfectly, for the moment, but no room to gain a pound! If you are curvier, I might consider sizing up.
I've wanted a pair of these since forever but only went for it when they were on sale. It might be impossible to be perfectly happy with them at their full price but at the sale price I am. I've worn them hiking, camping, cross country skiing - in snow and rain and winter desert and they performed great in all of it. I was really surprised that even the stretchy fabric is so water resistant. It doesn't hurt that they also look great - I've worn them to work or even just around town in bad weather. I wasn't sure about my size but I followed the size chart and the fit is really perfect. Some websites show them as fitting rather tight, but they are clearly made to have room through the thigh. I love the relatively higher rise as well, compared to many brands. The inseam is perfect for me as well - I'm between a regular and a long.
I love these pants so much - able to be out in the mud and tall grass without much of a care. I wear them with midweight base layer leggings underneath to stay warm. I have wider hips and thighs and these fit perfectly. The other reviewers are right, there's no stretch so make sure you look at the sizing measurements carefully. You will eventually need to rewax them if you wants them to remain water resistant, keep that in mind. I would love a pair of overalls in the same style from Fjallraven.
Great pants! Durable and comfortable, but not quite “curvy” enough. There’s not enough room in the hips and a little too much room in the waist. Just doesn’t fit curvy proportions as well as I had hoped. I’m 5’4” and 125lbs with an athletic build.
I was hesitant to spend so much money on hiking pants, but these are worth every penny. I love how sturdy they are, with reinforcement exactly where I need it in the outdoors (on the seat of the pants and at the knees). The material is somewhat heavy, especially for summer use, but after wearing out other hiking pants very quickly, I'll take the sturdiness any day. Plus, the thigh and calf vents on the outer sides of each leg are well-placed, and the zippers are smooth and easy to zip/unzip. The cargo pockets are in useful and easy-to-reach spots, and I like how the button covers prevent items from slipping out. Most of all, I love the fit. These are the first pants that actually fit my waist and don't constantly get pushed down by my pack. I don't have to hitch them up, even after kneeling or bending down. After one wash and wear, I loved them so much I immediately got another pair. I'd buy one in every color if I could!
