Great pack!
I originally bought this pack for it's intended purpose, as a mountain biking pack. Since purchasing, I've used this pack even more than I expected - it also works great for short hikes, ski days, longer bike rides, etc. Not only do I love the color, but the fit is very flattering on my athletic-built body. I like the stabilizing features on the arms more than I anticipated. I really love that the hydration mouthpiece sits in a place that is so accessible on-trail, but the pack keeps the hose well out of your way while you ride. It actually fits a lot more than I expected too, which is great for such a slim bag. Made this purchase as a "splurge" but now I'm really happy I own this bag in addition to a standard daypack.
Finally a backpack for a small frame!
I've always struggled to find a nice day pack for hiking that didn't slip off my narrow shoulders. I was recommended to check out the cycling packs and found this one and I couldn't be more pleased with it! there are just enough pockets to stay organized but not so many that you lose track. Also it has a helmet compartment for cyclers out there, but as a hiker its a great storage for additional water or for a hat etc. Very worth the money!
Great pack - flexible use
Ok…know this is for mtn biking but bought it to use as a hiking day pack for an upcoming overseas trip. Needed a smaller pack than my normal pack so I can go with just carry on luggage. Great pack - plenty of room to do the job. Took out the tool roll at the bottom to stuff in a rain jacket. Several dry runs have been successful. Small enough to meet under seat size requirements for plane.
Not great for quick access to items
Although this is a nice looking backpack, I found it to not be conducive to my needs. It would have been perfect had it had a pocket where I could put my cell phone. Instead I had to take it off to grab my phone which was pretty annoying by the end of our hike. As a sidenote are used this for hiking and not biking, so it potentially is a better fit for someone that truly is using only for a bike. I ended up keeping as I plan to give to my daughter to use when we go on family hikes as she does not have a phone or any electronics she would need access to.

I purchased this pack (as well as the previous model on clearance to compare) mainly for riding, but also to replace an old Camelbak for hiking. Out of the bag I can tell it's extremely comfortable and well fitted to a woman's body, and the fabric on the newer model appears to have been upgraded to one more lux vs. the previous model's ripstop nylon. Even so I may end up returning them both. The magnetic water tube clip sits in such a way that it does not play well with the geometry of my more upright endurance road bike, '18 S Ruby. If you are using it on a mountain bike with your arms spaced farther apart it looks like it would work better. You can see where this would be a problem in the stock photos. The question is whether or not I don't mind riding with it dangling. As previous reviewers mentioned I would also prefer a rain cover instead of the useless tool pouch as my bike has a SWAT box built into the frame for tools.
Great Backpack
Easy to use. Great amount of storage abcs still very light weight.
This is a no go for mountain bikers of any ability
I bought and returned this due to the dysfunctional magnetic tube clip. It wouldn't stay put from the moment I left on a mountain bike ride whether that was pavement, blue, green, and definitely not a black run. And the tube is so long that you can just let it hang down, it would really ruin the ride. Part of the issue is that the magnetic piece is just to small. My other grip was having to use the sternum strap, it was really uncomfortable and I tried adjusting it. But to use the magnetic clip for the water hose you must use the sternum strap. Also the pockets sucked because you can't completely open them up wide like you can with a standard back pack. I had to watch a youtube video to figure out how to open the water bladder because it is sealed so tightly I didn't want to damage it. One positive is that you have a lot of gear capacity with the bag, you can take everything you want and more on the trail. I do hike on an occasion and I don't think I would want to use it for that activity either, there are too many better options out there. I purchased the camelbak lux 14 and everything about it is better, its big enough to take everything and the water tube stays in place while I am sessioning.
Not just for biking...
Use it for day spring/summer hikes as it carries everything you need and is so light. We tossed the tool kit holder for extra space and a few ounces. But get the larger one as you get much more room for only a oz or 3

Light weight. Breathable. Enough pockets to fit smaller essentials, tools, snacks, and packable jacket. Comes with a piece to hold your helmet. I never use that piece. The magnet doesn’t stay put, leaving the mouth piece to hang over my shoulder. That doesn’t take away from my ride. I bought one for myself then 3 more for my kids. Holds more than enough water to share.
