Works, but proprietary and hard to insert
First of all, the charger works. That's the most important thing. But it's very annoying that they made this proprietary. The connector has a very specific plastic configuration that's on no other charger, even other REI E-bikes. It's also a bit annoying to get into the socket because they did the proprietary route. It has to go in a certain way, and there's a tiny arrow that's inconspicuous. Anyways, you have no choice other than to use this charger with that bike, so you must use it.
Proprietary plug
I called this 800 number with the item #. The rep told me they could not find the item on their website and directed me to call my local shop. Not very helpful advice from the REI account in the Q and A. Dumb that this battery has such a proprietary connector and is a pain to track down.
.
I wanted a second charger to leave at work. I sometimes used my ebike to commute in addition to my regular road bike. Fairly priced and gets the job done.
