Bottles stay in holsters
When I first started wearing the belt I read the reviews and they were saying the bottles would come out so I would burp my bottles before I ran, the bottles never offered to bounce or pop out of the holsters. I did that for about a month and decided to try a run without burping them and there was no difference, the bottles don’t move. The bag is plenty big enough for my phone, chapstick, keys, gels. I keep my mace in one of the loops on the side so I just have to reach down if needed. The belt itself is pretty stretchy, I am a petite framed person so I have to over tightened the belt at first but as soon as the bottles and bag rest on my hips the belt doesn’t move. I have worn the Nathan hydration vest for years and decided I would try the belt and I am super glad I did, I am pleased with it, if they could improve anything it might be to make the bottles insulated.
Great for long dog hikes
This waist pack has the perfect combination I was looking for. Hydration and storage in a light weight, non-bulky waist pack. I take my dog on 2 hour hikes in the mountains above Ashland, Oregon. There is a zipper pouch that securely holds car keys, wallet, and cell phone. There is an open pouch for dog treats that are easily accessible without zipping or un zipping a pouch. Two lightweight water bottles that easily snap into place, that don’t bump against me but allow me to reach back and grab them when I’m thirsty. There’s enough water for me and still enough to give my puppy a cup of water on the trail. I looked long and hard for this combination. Excellent product.
Not good
I have the belt that came with the neon bottles. Maybe they don’t make it because of the color, or they changed the design (looks like this one though). First, the bottles have the no drip tops which would be nice, but they take too much force to squeeze the water out. Second, the belt loosens up while running. Not terribly, but you have to pull/tighten it a few times in each run. Third, I hardly ever use the zipper pocket, but it didn’t take too many uses before the zipper didn’t work—it separated so it stays open in either direction you pull it. Overall, not that good of a hydration belt.
Hard to squeeze water out; old bottles were better
These new bottle designs are harder to squeeze the water out. Even when you open the nozzle fully, you have to squeeze like hell to get a decent stream of water. The previous bottle design, once the nozzle was open, water flowed freely with just a bit of squeeze. I don't want to have to fight the bottle in order to drink. And because the design of the belt and bottle changed, the old bottles don't fit in the belt holsters, and the old caps don't fit on the new bottles. Not a customer friendly design change. Otherwise, aside from the poor bottle "improvement", the pack is great, just the right size for what I need it for.
Super light and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super light and comfortable belt that I can wear both on the front and back with no issues. Even having two full bottles of water a cell phone, a snack and chapstick it didn’t feel like it was weighing me down. The bottles aren’t super big so take that into consideration for your hike length but it was perfect for an hour and a half hike. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the nipple size of the water bottles. They could be smaller, I would just squirt the water in my mouth instead.
Great For Long Runs!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great running belt! Fits very securely to the waist and is very easy to use. Water bottles are a great size and I love that there are two of them for longer runs. The pouch is well ventilated in the back to absorb sweat and has several zippered pockets to hold anything you may need. Very lightweight and durable! A must have for runners!
Great belt bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this hydration belt several times now for both walks and hikes and I absolutely LOVE it. I would repurchase it if something happened to it. It’s lightweight, the pockets are great for storage and the water bottles are a great size.
Good for long walks or trails.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love, love. It was easy to use, comfortable. Did need feel heavy at all. I like that it has a pocket because not all my bottoms do. It was easily adjustable and it was so light I forgot it was there
Lightweight and Functional
I love this belt! It's super lightweight. The zipper compartment is big enough to hold my necessities: cards, keys, phone. I'm looking forward to using this for summer hikes and long runs.
Good holding capacity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So excited about this. It seems to have plenty of storage space for adequate water and snacks/phone, as well as some bungy-type stretchy cords that can hold stuff on the sides!
