Don't change a thing
This is my second pair of Uneek sandals. They are simply the best, most comfortable allround foot wear in the warmer months. I wear them all day, and frequently get compliments from others. Several friends have also bought them after seeing mine. The support and fit is solid enough for light hiking as well, but stylish enough to wear around town. The fit is a little tight for the first week or two, but you'll be rewarded for breaking them in. My only "complaint" is that they make your feet look funny when you remove them, as the rope pattern stays imprinted for a while after they're removed. Best innovation in foot wear in a long time. Thanks!
First time trying this brand and I love them
Bought some keen uneek. Today was first day wearing and I was a little worried at first but thinking they would be too tight on my feet I always have to go with wide width options when I buy shoes and they still end up leaving my feet in pain even if I get good brand name shoes. These are by far the most comfortable pair of footwear I have ever tried. It’s a great idea the use of para cord gives them maximum flexibility and breathability great for summer use or just around inside of home too. You almost want to forget your even wearing them after a while. 5 stars great product and uses recycled materials so A+ in my opinion...
Excellent experience
Excellent product. Excellent customer service. I ordered my Uneeks online. However after my order was complete I realized I ordered black. I wanted OD Green and black. I called customer service and chose the “Call me back” option and they got back to me in about 20 minutes. Unfortunately the shipping process is so efficient that my order had already shipped. Which is fine. My order was received very quickly. Shoes fit great. Black is just as cool as OD Green. Who knew... I am in healthcare and will be ordering new work shoes soon. Website said they ran a half size small. Ordered half size larger and they were perfect.
Look Cool But Not Functional
I guess on the upside they look cool. They're a little tight around the ball of the foot. I had a pair of Newport H2's that I wore until they fell apart and bought these thinking they would be similar experience. First day wore them on a light hike and the little gravel bits on the trail kept slipping between the cords and getting between foot and sole. Not ideal nor did it feel great. They were not nearly as comfortable as the Newport's gravel catching aside. I have barely worn them because my foot feels like they are in some kind of bondage. Would have returned them had I not kept giving them a second chance.
Best Sandals EVER
Hands down, comfiest sandal I've ever owned in my life. Fit me perfectly right out of the box. Have already received so many compliments on them from friends and people seeing me out. I bought the black/black monochrome and when I wear black socks with them, they look even sleeker and cooler. I love that they're so lightweight and even after I got them a little wet from walking around by the river, they dried super fast! These truly are so UNEEK. I was unsure if this would fit me or not based on how unusual they look at first, but they're just so fun and I fear I'll never be able to wear another pair of sandals again after this. I'll definitely be buying more in other colors.
Good Color for Summer
I have really pale legs, so a lighter color shoe is my preference as I wear short pants a lot. I knew to get a full size larger than my regular shoe, and the width fit is relatively adjustable with the lace-up cording provided, you just have to play with it a bit. It's winter now, so I'm only wearing these inside at this time, but I know (from having had a pair of UNEEKs before - the sole split, so gotta get these new ones) that I will be so grateful for them when summer finally comes around. They were my favorite summer shoe, so I'm expecting no less this time around. They feel very secure on my feet when I'm walking, even on pebbly paths, and I love the way they look. Get them!
FANTASTIC sandals - highly recommended
First, let me say that I'm a huge fan of the Newport H2O sandal. I like that they are substantial and open at the same time. So I was slightly skeptical of the Uneek, with a more open and less constructed feel. But after wearing them for about the last month I'm completely SOLD. They are light and flexible while being very supportive and just great to look at. The Uneek definitely aren't a replacement for my Newport H2Os, but are a fantastic complement to them. One piece of advice: the Uneek do seem to run a bit small; it is worth considering a size larger than your normal size for optimal comfort.
5 years and still going strong.
Undoubtedly the best shoe/sandal I’ve ever had. I literally do everything in them outside hiking, camping, mtn biking, creek hopping, beach, and I’ve used them for easy rock climbing. These are simply UNEEK in every way. I get compliments almost every day I wear them. I’ve had a pair for over 5 years!!!!! The cord is still in great shape. The soles are worn but still have plenty of life. For me the anatomical footbed is just the most comfortable and truly shape to your foot. Amazingly they don’t hold stench which blows my mind. I’m hard on my keens and the craftsmanship and quality shows!
Just can't get comfortable with these
I have a pair of Uneek O2s that I wear everywhere. The perfect summer/water shoe. I bought these hoping they'd be just as comfortable. Unfortunately, they're not for me. The footbed is not as soft (feels like a different composition) and so it's not nearly as comfortable. In addition, the sandals are more narrow than the O2s and just smaller in general. (I usually don't understand why reviewers complain that something is too small instead of just ordering up a size. In my case I'm at a 14; there is no going up for me.) Unfortunately, I waited too long to try these to know they weren't a good fit so they're just taking up closet space. Just found the new model (EXO) and hoping they fit more like the O2.
Best Sandals I've Owned
I've owned these sandals for over five years and they've been all over the world. They've been in the ocean, mud, shower and washing machine. They still look brand new and super comfortable to wear. Buy a pair before they sell the company and start making them in China.
