Love it
Shoe happened to be in the discount area and tried it on. Felt great and took it home. Very stylish for starters. I’ve used it biking and it is wonderful. So much so that I’ve donated my trusted shoe that I’ve used for years for the FiveTen. Toe box was a little wider than most Adidas that I’ve worn over the years so I just use a thicker sock while biking and not a light weight running sock. And I’ve upgraded the insert with a running pad to snug the shoe up. Great help from the running store to take care of me.
Bad manufacturing
After only 5 months of walking use, not hiking not biking, the sides start to peel off, after 1 month of that issue they became totally useless, not a solid product as they advertise , no good for hiking either just for walk…
Just what I wanted
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Proper grip on flat pedals Firm pedal feel for power transfer yet not too stiff to walk in
Decent Pair of Shoes for Techy trails
My feet is somewhere between 11-11.5 wide (11.2in length is technically it) so I bought a 11.5. I'm pretty sure on the brannock I'm a 46E which is 11.5. I thought it was kind of spot on where I had 1 finger width of space. The toe part of the shoe is hard so the width is actually a good call on my end. I thought the shoes were somewhat comfortable. The white-grayish part above the sole is a bit weird. Typically, that part of the shoes is below your feet but it is raised upwards a bit so I kept noticing the presence of it whenever I walk. This could be my wide feet tho. However, when I started to actually bike and hike with them, I didn't really notice it and I was successfully able to get through 10 miles of mtb and hiking trails fine. Surprisingly, it is comfortable and very grippy.
A little pricey; but you get what you pay for!
I bought this shoe for mountain biking (as mountain biking shoes were too narrow). This shoe has a firm sole but is very comfortable. It has good venting and is cool too. I really like this shoe.
Extremely sturdy and tough shoe. 4 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the interior of the shoe, although low at the ankle is very comfortable and sturdy. this is very much a shoe with a stiff, resistant exterior. the treads are futuristic and can be slippery on wood floors. this is an outdoor shoe,,, for the trail only. this shoe could quite possibly also be used when bouldering or even rock climbing. you sure won't stub a toe when your foot hits the face of what you're climbing!
Grippy, comfy, breathable, but lacks stiffness.
The Five Ten Trailcross XT is a great choice if you’re looking for a mountain biking shoe that balances pedal grip, comfort, and walkability. It sticks well to flat pedals thanks to the Stealth Phantom rubber outsole, giving you confidence on rough trails while still being easy to walk in when you need to hike. It’s lightweight and breathable, which is great for hot rides, but that also means it won’t keep your feet dry in wet conditions. The fit is snug, almost like a sock, with a high ankle collar that helps keep dirt and debris out—though it might feel a little restrictive for some. The midsole is cushioned enough for all-day comfort but not super stiff, so if you’re into aggressive riding, you might want something firmer. Overall, if you need a versatile MTB shoe that works well both on and off the bike, the Trailcross XT is a solid pick. It’s comfortable, grippy, and great for adventure rides—just don’t expect it to be the best for super wet or hardcore downhill conditions.
Not good at all
Adidas shoes are meant for comfort and style. But this shoe, despite looking good isn't anything close to comfort. I regret buying this shoe. It is too narrow on the front and there is hardly any cushoning support. My feet hurts a lot and I can't continue wearing this anymore :(
Not Comfortable
These have to be the narrowest adidas shoes I've ever worn, aside from Sambas. Add to that they are just plain uncomfortable. The insole felt like there was hardly any cushion at all, and unlike most adidas shoes I've worn over 30+ years, there was little arch support.
Stoked on having a more athletic shoe to ride in.
Looks like more sleek like a trail runner but still performs as the 5.10 freerider did (very well). The 5.10 rubber sole is solid and feels strong with protection, all while having less bulk.
