Really impressed
I put this on the front of a YT Izzo. I'm in central NC where trails are mostly hardpack with some rocks and roots. I had my first ride on it yesterday and am really thrilled with the performance. For reference, I was running a Spec Butcher T9 prior to this and have used the DHF and Dissector in the past. Rolling resistance seems to be slightly better than those. I was hoping the grip would be similar but it actually exceeds them which I wasn't expecting...perhaps because it's designed for hardpack trails so it may just be more suitable for the trails around me than those other tires. I'll likely pick up the trail casing model to throw on the rear. My only complaint is that these were a bear to get mounted on my rims.
Great all rounder
After a year of running this tire on the rear it has done well in many conditions. From dry, rocky Colorado trails, to rocky/dusty Utah chunk it has hooked up and rolled quite well. With its ramped knobs and lower profile, the tire rolls quite well and had surprisingly good hook up and brake power on steeper trails. Although it can handle many conditions this is not a good wet weather tire and struggles with mud, but thats what you get with these kinds of knobs.
