These are absolutely terrible. The GoreTex stopped being waterproof within two months, the tread was gone around the same time, and the uppers are separating from the sole. The original insole was basically a paper towel and worthless. Finally gave up on them and tried to return them as they meet the qualifications for being defective (and well under a year as a member) but was refused because the tread was worn down - even though that was one of the defects. What a complete waste of time and money. Thanks for all the blisters, Adidas! Never again.
This boot could come with a better in sole and the tread of the boot wears down super fast. In one and a have weeks the tread is gone. Very upset about this. I bought these after the swift goretex boot leaked in the rain. Not sure if I will purchase another adidas is boot.
I picked up a pair in Oct. of 2022 to wear as a mail carrier. I averaged about 10-12 miles a day, roughly 50-60 miles a week in these and they lasted until around the beginning of March. (So around ~800-1000 miles of wear.) I still wear them on dry days but the seam/GORE-TEX along my big toe started giving out and letting in water. I also have no tread left on the bottom of them which is to be expected after that much wear. I found them to be comfortable and didn't end up needing to add any insoles of my own. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a good hiking shoe. I put them through abuse and they lasted me ~5-6 months of near every day use.
The quality seems good but the size chart does not match
Don't normally write reviews but these deserve one unfortunately. Bought them in July 2022 and was impressed at first with how comfortable, lightweight and waterproof they are. The upper is good, BUT, the soles are horrendous. Pretty much instantly noticed the outside edge of the heel was wearing very quickly on both soles. I have never owned any other shoes which have worn so badly/unevenly (adidas are my go-to for shoes) so i am simply putting it down to poor quality material. Possibly unrelated, and i can't prove it but i think they have contributed towards an acl injury i have now picked up, as never had any issues with my knees before owning them. (For the record im 5"11 and weigh 10st... so weight certainly should not be the problem)
I rubbed my feet so hard with these shoes that I couldn't walk. There were 5 patches on each foot - on the little fingers, on the top of the foot, on the ankle, and 2 on the back. The size is standard. I even had some room left, but the width was extremely small. I can't even imagine if I had to wear them on a hike, not just for a regular walk. Left 3 stars just for the service and for the waterproof feature - it really works. After 3 hours of walking under the rain in NYC, my feet are still dry. But hurt. I had to buy another pair just to be able to walk normally. Actually, my previous Adidas shoes had the same issue. It took more than a month to stretch them naturally.
These shoes are aesthetically pleasing, fairly warm and comfortable. However, I doubt these will last very long as driving to the store created creases in the front of the boot. I decided to wear these for about an hour and there are creases on the sole as well I don’t have high hopes for these lasting the winter or any other harsh conditions.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wide fitting, lightweight for a walking style boot. Unfortunately, there was white internal fabric showing on the external of the boot due to stitching, so I returned these and swapped for a different boot.
I like these boots. I live in a forest and walk my dog at least a couple of miles every morning. Living on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State means it gets wet. I need shoes/boots that are light, waterproof, have an aggressive tread (more than just a high-top tennis shoe) and give me some ankle support. Some of these characteristics seem to be mutually exclusive in other hiking shoes/boots. These do a pretty good job. Until the puddles get too deep, these are my dog-walking boots. Two things I wish were better are: 1) I would like them to not have eyelets on the top 2 lace holes...it is too much of a struggle to get them on and off. 2) The insoles are too minimal...I swapped them out with Ortholite insoles that I had.
Comfortable, affordable decent hiking boots. I am used to Merrill Moab midsize boots that I have had for several years of very good use. I wore the Terrex daily for about 10 days to make sure I wasn’t leaving for far away with boots that don’t work. They broke in nicely and got about 3 weeks of vigorous use in New Zealand on some wet and challenging terrain and they performed very well. I bought these while on sale, but still think they are a decent value compared to other choices at a similar price.
