REI Co-op  Trailmade Fleece Jacket - Men's

This is a well-constructed but basic fleece jacket. My husband has been wearing it consistently around the house for over a year and it washes well and it is not pilling or falling apart. His one complaint is that the collar “folds” or “bends” in a weird way. When fully zipped: the top of the zipper dips or bends back into his neck. When the zipper is left unzipped a few inches from the top: the collar that flops “open” still has this bend to it. For a man who irons his jeans this “bend” irritates him. It does not appear to be a defect as multiple trips to REI have shown us that all of these Trailmade fleece jackets do the same thing.

This light weight fleece was comfortable and durable. It was easy to wear around town or in "the office" with some khaki pants. When it came to using outside it performed well , I wore it by itself in 38 to 40+ degree weather on some hikes and as a mid layer on the really cold or windy days. This jacket was also comfortable enough for some bouldering. The zipper seems durable and this was easy to wash when dirty. It took a little while for this yellow color to grow on me and I wish it had a upper zipperd chest pocket but really that's the only thing I felt was lacking. Over all I would get more in different colors.

The Trailmade Fleece fits the layer niche between wicking layers and puffy insulation jackets. The jacket is highly functional and comfortable to wear. Pros: - Breathable and warm in coolish conditions - Large slash pockets with rugged zippers - Inner portion of the pockets can double as a additional internal pockets Cons: - A bit heavy for the amount of insulation it provides - Upper portions are made of a different color fleece (not a wind resistant fabric)

Already own one of these, just bought a new one! Have worn it for a couple years and they are so comfortable and warm for how light they are. Now wear my old one as a indoor jacket for those cold afternoon PNW winds. Fantastic price, quick delivery, and the blue color is very eye catching.

I am 6'7'' tall and weighing in at 195 lbs - a tall slender dude. The medium tall size of the Trailmade fleece jacket fits me perfectly. It's an athletic cut with plenty of length and just the right fit in the shoulders and torso. It is always a challenge finding clothing that fits - it's either the right length but baggy, or the right shoulder fit but short - but REI has nailed it with their tall sizes and I will be forever grateful. Otherwise, this is a cozy, comfortable fleece. Nothing particularly fancy or high-tech, but it completely satisfies my expectations.

Who doesn't love a good fleece? This multi-color fleece jacket is a perfect weight for an extra layer on cold days or use it as an outer layer when the weather is cool. This fleece is super soft, has two inside pockets and two zip outside pockets. I really like the weight of the fleece material.

Great jacket! I am so thankful that the fit is not too slim. As a 5'7" 210 pound guy, I am so angry that almost all clothing from outdoorsy or surf brands, especially Patagonia, is extremely slim-fit, such that someone with even a little bit of a belly or hips cannot wear it, unless you size up and have the sleeves be 6 inches too long. Most of the population is not super skinny. So THANK YOU REI for offering some items that more of the population can actually wear. This jacket is very soft, comfortable, and excellent for wearing in the office, when I want something that's more professional than a sweatshirt but also comfy for sitting at my desk. Mine is black, and it works well for the office. The proportions are great for me - roomy without being sloppy, torso and sleeves not excessively long.

I really like this jacket - it's very comfortable and just the perfect warmth for talking walks in the cool weather. I would LOVE this jacket if only they would add cord locks to adjust the hem (waist) of the jacket, or even some elastic. The jacket is looser than I would prefer and there is no way to adjust the fit like there is on many other jackets, so cold air comes in from underneath. REI, please add an adjustment and I will buy another jacket.

I bought it to replace an REI Fleece jacket I have had nearly 20 years and was very happy with but showing it's wear and expected this to be a duplicate. It is well made and I like the zippered outer pockets and the very useful large pockets inside on both sides of the chest. I am very disappointed in it's light insulation weight/effectiveness. Advertised as "mid weight" it is not as nearly as heavy/warm as the REI fleece jacket I was replacing or a Columbia fleece jacket I have. It is the lightest weight/insulation effectivenss fleece jacket I have ever owned. It is a good, well made coat but it is light weight insulation, not mid weight.

I am a woman but I purchased this men's jacket on a sale, because it is very soft and beautiful. Quality is 10/10, zippers run very smoothly, it has zipped pockets on the outside AND open pockets on the inside. I have washed it and it didn't leak any dye, it doesn't shed either, which is usually and issue with fleece jackets. I have worn it for a few months now and it hasn't shown any signs of wear, so I look forward to using it for a long time!
