I backpack and was looking to upgrade my sleeping bag for the first time and needed a Synthetic bag because I choose to be vegan. I went to REI and tried lots of bags out all that were synthetic and I just really liked how comfy this bag was for me. I’m a size 8/10 5’5 woman for reference and I got a women’s regular, the bag was just tall enough for me but I felt I had plenty of room to even turn in the night if I wanted to. I love mummy bags though and have no problem feeling confined in them. This bag was very comfortable and very warm for me. I tend to run very cold and I got to try this bags a few times now, the lowest it got was low 30’s so never got to test it to its lower limits but I was extremely warm in that temp. I love this bag!
I'm not a big person - 5'5" 145 pounds, but I couldn't finish zipping it up because it was too tight at my shoulders. Seemed like it would be great a VERY small woman.
I’m 5'2" and 150 lbs, and the Big Agnes Women's Anthracite 20 Synthetic Sleeping Bag was uncomfortably tight. I expected a bit more room to move around, but it felt constricting, especially around the shoulders and hips. While it is definitely warm, the lack of comfort made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning it. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone who values space and comfort.
I cannot say if the Big Agnes sleeping bag is good as it was way to big and bulky to fit my needs. By the description, 3 lbs, I thought it would be perfect for a 3 wk trekking trip, but sadly it would take up my whole backpack.
If you have wide hips this is not for you, this is my first mummy bag but I wasn’t expecting not being able to zip it up past my hips unless I scooted up in the bag first. I wear a size 10/12 pants so if you’re in that range I’d consider something else. I also didn’t feel like it was very warm was in about 30 degree weather and was pretty chilly still.
Very good sleeping bag. Comfortable, warm, and seems like it will be durable over time. There are few tradeoffs that would be nice to have like compression straps on the stuff sack and a storage bag, but that is understandable for this price point. This is plenty warm for cool season camping in Oregon. I recommend it!
Like many other reviews say, this bag was tight! I unfortunately did not read these reviews before purchase. I used it for a couple of nights bikepacking in the desert in Jan & getting some chillier nights, I also found that the inside of the zipper was very cold- which I haven't experienced with other bags. I liked the weight of this product versus other synthetic filled ones, but ultimately will return.
Bought this bag after trying the men’s. The bag is way too tight for me. I’m 5’2” and 150 lbs and was quite claustrophobic. It was very warm but will immediately be going back!
Really like this bag! It kept very toasty at 40 degrees and I’m sure that’s not even close to the comfort limit. The zipper was well thought out to help prevent from snagging. It also was the right length and width for me. I’m 5’4 and around 130 Ibs with mid to wide hips. It fit me personally well. The only thing that would have made this bag even better is compression sack and also arm holes. However, with armholes you sacrifice some warmth. Overall recommend!!!
I bought this upon the recommendation of another friend who has more camping experience than me. I’m so glad I was able to purchase it while on sale. I tested it out and I immediately felt cozy. Honestly, I felt like a swaddled baby. I’m also a figure-4 sleeper, and I was able to achieve the position - albeit a lil tight - but enough for me to feel comfortable. To be fair, I haven’t tested it outdoors yet but it’s promising! It’s also very easy to pack up.
