Easy to figure out all the features
I had other smart watches and I was hesitant to but nothing but an Apple Watch (I have one). The Garmin user interface takes some time to learn, it’s like a new car. Anyway after 3 weeks I decided to keep it. I like the silicon strap better than nylon one that comes already attached out of the box.
Thank you for your review. Jenny
Garmin for life?
I’ve been an Apple Watch user since gen 1. Switched to Garmin with the Tactix 7 pro and I was instantly hooked. It took a second to understand the buttons, the app, and other ins and outs but when I did I saw the value of the Garmin brand. I use prolly 10% of its capabilities but that 10% is A LOT. I will say that the touch screen on all the 7 Models helped me with the switch over but it’s not a deal breaker. It does help when scrolling through menus though. Overall, love the design, the flashlight, the glass, the water face marketplace, yada yada yada.
Thank you for your review. Jenny
Love fit and finish
I have been a fan from the onset of the Tactix line. I have owned 3 and completely believe in Garmin to produce quality technology. The only setback this watch has is the integration with the Apple product line. I have not tried it with android, but I understand from other people that it works seamlessly. I’m hoping one day that Garmin can work with Apple to give the same features that android does. Other than that, this watch is great. The watch face glass is impervious to scratches. Previous models that I’ve owned before, I have hit and scratched it on everything and not once did the Tactix produce a scratch or really another wear. Garmin Tictix holds up to all abuse, especially if you’re in the military or law enforcement or any hard working American.
Thank you for your review.
Perfect
Wife bought me as a present to replace my old trusty Casio g shock, but since i got it screen clarity is still perfect,bo scratches and it has been abused lol....being mariner and an aviator it has been through its paces...no complaints from me ....,no glitches, gps accuracy, tracking, body monitors all work seamlessly as well....will have this thing for a long time until garmin gives me another to test or something
Thank you for your review.
The possibilities are endless
There's so much this watch can do that I doubt most of us will even use 80% of the watch. Where you are, where you're going, what's around you? Would you like to disappear like John Wick? Do you need to make a once-in-a-lifetime rifle shot after you jump out of a plane and check all the statistics of your fall? We got you. What to know most things about your physical environment? Even before you leave the house? We got you. My point is anything I want to do and know stats, maps, geo-location, and be generally more informed. This is the watch you want. There are a ton of other features I didn't even bring up. Trust me, this watch is insane
Thank you for your review.
Amazing piece of tech watch.
Just bought the Garmin Tactix 7 Pro and I’m complete blown by its features. Everything about this watch is just nice.

Pricey, but all you would ever need.
I'm not gonna lie, this is an expensive piece of kit. You can similar functionality out of a less expensive piece like the Fenix, but not quite the full package. Wearing it as a regular watch and fitness tracker the charge for me lasts about two weeks and it has all the tools I would ever need in a watch with the addition of backup GPS functionality out on the trail. The built in LED light is far more useful than expected, I'm pretty sure I've used it just about every day I've had it for the last 18 months. If you have the cash, go for it. If not, I would recommend one of Garmin's other less expensive watches based on my experience with this model.

Love this watch!
I don't like wearing watches but will do so if the watch I'm wearing serves a practical purpose. It has many features that I'm starting to use. I initially purchased it for the fitness and sleep tracking features. It's exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be more pleased with the watch. I don't normally make impulse purchases and this was no different. I've been thinking about the Garmin Tactix ever since my brother showed me the one he bought several months ago. I've had it in a cart on more than one occasion but backed out so that I could do more reading and comparisons with other watches. I wish I would have picked up this watch much sooner. It's a great watch and I'm highly satisfied. As far as a fitness tracker, calorie counter, etc. is concerned, it's pretty good. No wearable calorie counter is exact and I didn't expect this one to be, either. It's pretty close though and gives me a good idea of where I'm at during my workouts. The main reason I bought this watch is because of the sleep tracker. I don't get much sleep and it's a rare occasion when it's deep and I wake up rested. The Tactix 7 Pro has an app called Connect and it has several features. Sleep Tracker/Score is just the one I'm most interested in. I'll learn more about the other features of the app later. To track my sleep, I've had to wear the watch while sleeping, obviously. Like I said, I don't like wearing watches, rings, etc. so I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about wearing a watch to bed. My first night wearing it, I noticed the watch when I would wake up throughout the night but it wasn't something that woke me up or was uncomfortable. Now, it's not an issue at all. It will track sleep and show me the amount of time I get restful sleep, deep sleep, REM, and periods of wakefulness. I've been looking for a way to improve my sleep and this is going to be a very useful tool for that. The watch came with two bands, nylon and rubber. It was charged when I picked it up and it kept that original charge for several days. Both bands are sturdy and give me no reason to doubt that they'll stand up to abuse. I highly recommend the Garmin Tactix Pro. If you make the decision to purchase this watch, you won't regret it.
Thank you for your review.
Heart rate on watch does not work
I am returning the watch because the heart rate monitor does not accurately measure BPM while doing activities. Hopefully a new one will work! Picture below is my heart rate running with the watch measuring 57 bpm, the watch does not pick up bpm while running or climbing. I usually average 150-160 bpm. The first day I had the watch it it worked great and measured my heart rate correctly then after a couple runs it would not measure my heart rate consistently.
Thank you for your review and experience with the tactix 7 Pro. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com. Thanks Jenny
Must Have
I had the Tactix Delta for years. I just upgraded to the pro. It's a substantial upgrade. As you can imagine the technology is better. And the pro has more of it available. If you're in the field this is the watch for you. Lots of features for operational planning like weather, sunset, moon-phase. Ballistics, night vision etc all top notch. Sapphire crystal holds up well plus solar charging. Garmin's GPS is always strong and the multi protocol is very accurate. The sports apps keep accurate great track of your activities. And great additions of flashlight, nylon band, and touch screen. Highly recommend!!
