I was looking for a larger backpack for pack burro racing and longer trail runs and this fit the bill. I've been pleasantly surprised with both how comfortable it is and how functional. The 2.5L reservoir is a good size. I LOVE all the pockets--there are SO many options! The left chest pocket zips and fits my larger Smartphone (Google Pixel) just fine. I can easily fit a rain coat, snacks, water, phone, keys, chapstick, pocket knife...and more. Plus it snugs down securely if you don't need as much stuff. The waist belt is great for storage and to keep everything secure. I've used it for mountain biking too and it worked great. I previously bought an Osprey backpacking pack and didn't like the fit, so I was happy to see how well this pack works for me. I'm 5'2" / 120 for reference.
Let me start off by saying that the quality of any Osprey products I’ve used is top notch. Unfortunately, this one fell short for me with the way it attached together in the front and how MASSIVE the front part of the straps are. I do tend to be sensitive to how things feel on my body and I could not work past this. I loved the access to storage, but they covered my boobs in such a way that never rested quite right. I couldn’t find the comfortable place where the strap didn’t hurt my shoulder and the massive-ness didn’t rub my nipples (I said I wasn’t going to say nipple, but I don’t think I can adequately review it without). The irritation was awful. I also realized that I want a pack that sits on my hips and the length of this one didn’t allow for that. 3 stars, but that’s because of my frame and the nipple rubbing issue. But if you like shorter framed packs and nipple coverage, this one’s for you!
