The best all around shoe
This is the third pair of these shoes I've bought for my sons. My boys are very rough on their clothing and shoes and these have held up exceptionally well. I'd say they last at least twice as long as any other shoe I've bought them in the past. They wear them just about every day, even through our very rainy winters. They prefer them over their rubber boots when its raining - and they still keep their feet dry. I absolutely recommend these to other parents.
Amazing shoes- worth the money!
I bought this for my 10 year old and he loves them. He wore them trick or treating on Halloween when it was wet and damp out and was one of a few kids with dry feet at the end of the night. Customer service from Merrell was fantastic when we had a problem with the laces (make sure to pull gently to tighten all the way). Friends of ours also have these shoes and like them equally as well as we do. We'll be buying again in bigger sizes when the time comes.
Waterproof but uncomfortable
My child wore these shoes in rainy London for one week. While they lived up to their waterproof promise, he found them uncomfortable. He said that the arch was not high enough so all his weight was constantly on the ball of his feet and made them hurt quite a bit during all our walking around.
Not waterproof
I bought these to keep my feet dry while walking the dog on rainy days. Today it's raining any my socks were soaked through when I got home. These are not waterproof. I'm disappointed I wasted my money on these. I expected more from Merrell.
Great trail shoe for my toddler
While true to size, it should be noted that it may be difficult to get their toddler feet into the shoe as the elastic is rather snug. Great for trails, no heel slip, but can be tricky getting heel in.
Not waterproof
I bought these specifically so that my kid had waterproof shoes as we do a lot of hiking. These shoes do not even keep their feet dry walking across the lawn in the morning. I am very disappointed.
Great shoe!
I got the wide size for my son with wide feet, no shoes ever fit him. These shoes fit! They look nice and have a wide toe box. I didn’t realize they don’t have regular laces that tie but that’s ok.
Great purchase
My son loves these. He plays soccer on the field at lunch every day at school. He can’t wear boots - and so we needed a waterproof shoe that will keep his feet dry ! These do just that !
