Initial impression is that these pants are awesome. They kept me warm while reading outside on a bright and breezy 45 degree day. I'm sure if I was moving they would definitely be good for colder temps. I can see these being great 3 season pants. I'm 6'1 and 255, normally an XL but sizing up to XXL was perfect. Great fit.
These pants seems like they'd be comfortable but unfortunately the sizing is so far off I immediately sent my pair back, and now I'm reluctant to purchase another pair online because of this sizing issue. I've worn size 32 waist my entire life and across all brands, and in fact size 32 falls off my hips for some brands. I ordered these pants in medium, which is supposed to fit 32-33, but they were so tight I felt like I was being squeezed into a tube of toothpaste and the waist button was virtually pulling apart at its seams. Even worse the legs are sized for a wannabe office worker with pencil-thin legs, rather than an outdoor athlete with any degree of muscle mass. I couldn't believe how tight the fabric stretched around my legs! These are called "standard fit" but don't believe it.
They would be better if MH used some kind of stitching every few inches to keep the lining from sliding away from the outer layer when you put them on/take them off. Once you get them on you have to spend a minute adjusting everything so the lining isn't hanging out of the bottom of the legs and bunching up in places. Other than that, they're very comfortable and make it easy to be outside in cold temps, wind, and even light rain (for a while).
According to the size guide, this size small should fit a size 30,31 waist. I wear a size 30 in the Basin Trek Pant and the Yumalino Active Pant in small fit too snug in the waist. The rise (waist band to crotch) was longer as well and was above my navel. Otherwise, the rest of the fit was great, the lined stretch material very comfortable, and I liked the bottom hem cinch for keeping the cold out.
I've gained a lot of weight recently, due to a knee replacement and neuropathy in my feet, and jeans and basically any actual long pants just don't work for me...until these beauties. Super comfy, great looking, and very warm for cold nights out. I'm buying a 2nd and maybe a 3rd pair. I'm 6' 2", 270 and XXL is perfect on me.
Buying a second pair these have been a great hiking in 45-55degree range and also a super comfortable work from home pant. It's what I want to put on every morning. I'm 6' 188lbs and the Large fits me perfectly. I do not bother with the draw string. I also like the Polartec Joggers
Didn't realize they were fleece lined. Used them this last week surf fishing Portsmouth Island. At night the wind would cut right though you. Put these on and stayed comfy all night fishing for Red Drum. Highly recommended
…since they is no belt. Drawstring is just that… tie it like your shoelace. And it binds. Great concept, not great execution. Otherwise, the pants are very comfortable and I really like the soft inner liner.
Seems like a cop out to sell these s/m/l versions rather than the previous number sized versions. Loved the old style better.
