Boy are they comfortable.
Wearing them for the first time, so I can’t speak for longevity, but dang they are comfortable! Looking at getting the other color. To be clear, this is no promotional review. I wore them to work today and I’m sitting thinking I really needed to review these pants😝. If you’re looking for something comfortable to throw on, I highly recommend these pants. Don’t think I’d take them on any serious outings, but boy are they comfortable. Did I mention they are comfortable? Really need to order the other color. Have a great day.
Renegade Recon adds Stretch Waistband
The Kuhl Renegade Recon are exclusive to REI, at least currently, according to my discussion with Kuhl when I inquired about more colors and a shorts version. I have several Kuhl pants and shorts, but these stand out for the waistband with some ‘give’ and the button fastener, unlike older pants with a snap tab. All the usual Kuhl Renegade virtues are there, zippered pocket, cellphone slot, nylon and spandex, but the waistband and fastener are a step forward, IMO. Bravo, REI! Now please commission a version of these as shorts!
Too heavy and bulky
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted to love this but the fabric is just too heavy for what it is and the waistband drawcord is not hefty enough to hold the pants up. By the time you add keys, wallet or phone, the pants sag and are uncomfortable. Also, the look isn't very flattering. They should've gone with a lighter more comfortable fabric and a more substantial drawstring. Had potential but failed in execution.
Comfortable
Bought these to wear for traveling on the plane and they were amazingly comfortable on my 13 hours in the plane. They kept me warm enough as plane temperature fluctuates. Would definitely purchase these again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable fit, the only I would do different would be a thicker sturdier waist tie, it should be something universal if need be used as a climbing tie. The material is great nice heavy.

Pants fall down

Product defective
Like some other nòŕth face pànts, Pockets are not deep enough and stuff comes spilling out.
