Okay
Really like the toes, which reduce friction between toes. I'd prefer a little more wool in the blend so they're more absorbent, but these are okay. Also a little on the short side.

Awful Durability
They're not durable. These socks are not worth the purchase. I purchased 4 pairs and five of the eight socks developed holes within a few months. You can feel the holes very easily when you wear them, so it basically makes the socks really uncomfortable. They're basically unwearable.

Do not last

The socks are great, nice thickness. Unfortunately, they very quickly wore at the heels and got holes in the big toe. I have socks that have cost less and have lasted longer Could not justify buying them again /:

Packaging- Very behind the times!

Like the products, HATE the packaging! I'm new to REI. I ordered 3 items and got each one separately only days apart from each other (grrr). The 1st item was a Key Doohickey and I about Screamed! (note the only box in the photo .... with the itty bitty item!!!) Attached is a photo of 4 items I've gotten in the mail this week. 2 from other companies and 2 from REI. You decide what you think about REI's attention to: packaging supplies inventory, training staff (?), programing in automated product management (?). REI- PLEASE put a more energy into your mail order fulfillment department.

comfy but not durable.

i was really jazzed about these because i thought they'd be the perfect liner socks to wear underneath either regular socks or thicker toe socks for hiking, or to wear alone for casual use when i'm just walking around in my tevas. they're definitely lightweight and comfy, but they're already wearing through on the heels and around the toes. they've been through maybe 10 washes, and i've only worn them for a short hike (~2-3mi) but mostly for walking around. i hate rating things one star, but a big reason for that is i'm trying to bring the average rating down so that other folks will think twice about purchasing them.

Holes after wearing twice and 1 washing

I'm a fan of Injinji socks, with a few pairs worn hiking many, many times. Now, liners are meant to be thin and "minimal", but should also be durable. These are not that. One pair had holes in 2 toes and in the heal after 2 wearings of moderate dog walking and just 1 mild wash. I would still consider other Injinji socks, with some skepticism, but their liners seem to be very poor quality. My fingers are crossed for the 2nd pair I have.

got holes within 10 uses

I wore them around 10 times and always hand washing them. And, got 2 holes on the side. Looks like they are easy to wear out.

Not confident about the durability

I'm a women's size 7.5 wide. I got the small, which is my usual size in Injinji. I found these wool liners to run slightly small, as the socks were very snug around my feet. It was also thinner than I expected, even though I know it's a liner. I'm returning these because I'm most worried about a thin patch where the threads come together. One little snag and I'm pretty sure these socks would be done for. I ordered three pairs and at least two of them had the same thin patch. I ended up buying toe socks from Etsy instead. I do appreciate REI's buy 3 get 10% off promo on socks.
