Fast shipping to alaska, store personnel recommended these brakes and I am very happy with them. Improved stopping from the stock brakes my bike had.
Good product, but replacement pads not available
I got this disc brake assembly at a time that my usual Avid BB7 was not available, and have liked it. Easy to install and adjust, dual-piston is a bonus. However, REI does not provide information or access to replacement pads. If you can't get the required parts in your catalogue, at least indicate what will substitute and how to access it.
Good replacement pad for SPYKE brakes
I was able to find Shimano BP B05S-RX resin pads that are compatible with Spyke caliper in a bin at the Fairview Ave, Seattle store. For some reason, these are not available in catalog! What gives?
