[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Zoomx Zegama Trail is a true trail runners shoe! It features a high stack heel with a full ZoomX midsole and a rock protection plate at the front. These guys do look heavy with its big midsole, but the Zegama weighs less than your average trail shoe and offers a much more cushioned run. The Zoomx has a cool ankle collar which is soft and prevents rubbing, as well as some protection from debris. The wider toe box is accommodating for bigger feet. Overall the Zoomx Zegama is a solid performer for true trail runners. Soft and bouncy but stable, these guys will support your weight and save your ankles.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome shoe that will inspire you to keep on going. The Nike Zoomx Zegama Trail shoes fit like a glove. Something you want to have when going on trails. With uncertain terrains, it is nice knowing that you have gripping soles and fitted shoes that will help you keep your balance. I also love the design of the shoe and how it incorporates references to nature. Unfortunately, I was not able to test if they were waterproof but I'm looking forward to testing that out as it has inspired me to go out for more walks and explore more of nature.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mens Nike Zoomx Zegama Trail are just like your average Trail Sneakers. I have two complaints about the sneakers: 1) The arch support is appreciated however it should be a little less. I have flat feet and always appreciate the added support in a shoe however it’s a little too much in there. 2) when walking on a wet smooth surface, there is no grip whatsoever. I almost went flying when walking on a sidewalk after a brief rain shower. Now I know that the sneakers are meant for the trail but grip issue off the trail needs some attention. Overall the sneaker was comfortable and fit snug. The materials to make the sneakers are durable and wel put together. I wasn’t a fan of the design of the shoe however most trail sneakers are ugly in my opinion anyway.
Trained for and ran my first 50k in the first edition of the Zegama and plan to order the new ones for my 30 mile trail race next month. My 50k was an east coast mountain trail race through rocky rooted climbs and deep mud ruts from off road vehicles. Some groomed hard packed XC trails and some wet grass as well. I can say they held up perfectly fine in all of these conditions. I felt strong and comfortable through out the race. Currently have 75 miles on these (do my shorter training runs in the Terra Kiger). Amazing shoe!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are very comfortable. They provide a great amount of cushioning and support. The extra padding on the inside of the shoe around the ankle is nice when changing directions and climbing up hills. They wider toe box allows my foot to spread and get a better grip when moving along trails. The breathability of the shoe is nice as well. Air flows through then well and they dry pretty quickly when wet. The design is simple and pleasing to the eye. I enjoy wearing them regularly and may look into another color way.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the box the aesthetics were pleasing. The contrasting colors work well together. Next after putting the shoe on the first thing is the breathable upper with a little stretch to form. Next, the design gives way to an all-day lifestyle shoe with an enlarged swoosh on the outside. The toe box protection comes in handy yet it’s soft and flexible enough to not cause interference with training. The fit is snug yet comfortable and allows for daily wear between store runs, gym workouts, and back to the house without creating any discomfort. The fact that it could be worn all day was the biggest plus for me. The one con for me is the tongue not being as flexible. A more minimal cushioning of the tongue would have sufficed and increased the ability to tighten the shoe down a little more.
I cannot stress enough how comfortable these sneakers are. I’m a woman who bought these and they’re by far my most favorite pair already and I’ve only had them for a month. The cushion is amazing, feels like I’m walking on air. The toe box is roomy too. I am almost always a 9W in Nike and I got the 7.5M size and it’s perfect. I’ve got them wet already and my foot stayed dry (walking my dog in the rain so not trail running but still). These seem to wipe clean also, which is a plus for me. I’ve already purchased another colorway, light lilac, and they seem to stay clean also. Although I haven’t taken these on any trails, from what I’ve used them for so far, I’m extremely happy I finally bought them after waiting a few months - didn’t want to waste 150$+ if they sucked but as most of the other reviews state, they’re awesome.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Zoomx Zegama Trail look stylish and fit comfortable. They give you enough room space and have a foam feel inside. They provide a perfect comfort for long intervals of time on your feet. I have and would definitely recommend using the zoom Zegama Trail shoes for the whole day especially if you’re on your feet all day. The design of shoe is a bit too basic though. I would add more color schemes or a different material for the soles of the shoes. At a first glance the shoes look like they are cheap material for the bottoms/ sole of the shoes. I would change the bottoms/sole of shoes to look more durable and not look like it’s a cheap plastic. I would also add more color options for the same shoe. The comfort level would be rated at the highest rating possible for the shoes. I would absolutely recommend to friends and family.
It felt well cushioned and it would have been a very comfortable shoe with good grippy soles for the trails, but just from trying it on I could tell the toe box would be too narrow for me (and I don't have wide feet -- I'm normally a women's 11, decided to try the men's). Not sure if it's just my foot. Will have to return it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are my first pair of trail shoes. To be honest, I am very impressed with these shoes. They are extremely lightweight with a fitted upper and molded cleat like outsole. They are quite comfortable, even in rough terrain. These shoes are definitely more for a dry, warmer climate; the uppers are quite thin. Overall, these are a great trail shoe.
