yay for soft cotton!
This is wide but foldable to make it narrow if you want and not bulky when you do so because the fabric is thin. It is really soft and not too tight so it's comfortable and stays on pretty well. (My hair is fine and slippery so it's hard to get headbands to stay. Others would surely have no issues.) I love the soft fine cotton. I wish Prana would make more cotton items! It's soft and great and we don't always need everything to be synthetic. If I'm not in the backcountry where fast drying and wicking matter, I really only want to wear cotton. It's so soft! I hope lots of people agree so the demand will create the supply!
Covers my alopecia
I had covid twice in 2022 and it triggered a nasty autoimmune disease (alopecia areata). Basically I suddenly developed bald patches all over my head and was desperate for a way to cover the alopecia w/o using a wig. These headbands have been a lifesaver while I undergo treatment and wait for my hair to grow back. Ponytail + headband covers most of the alopecia so I can continue to live my active lifestyle and not focus on my baldness. Hopefully I will have hair by this summer, but if not I'm glad the fabric is thin and breathable since southern California summers are very warm.
Poor quality and doesn’t match the photo
Did not receive the product in the picture. The headband I received has a cheap-looking, sticker-like ‘prana’ text fastener instead of the embroidered-looking logo fastener pictured. And it’s a bad, useless product that doesn’t stay put without a million pins.
stays on head
I really like this headband. I have a small head and often headbands that I wear to exercise slide off, this one stays in place. It's about 5.5" wide but it can be scrunched up or worn completely wide - the edges are raw (not really shown in the picture because they folded them in). I love the colors -vivid viola, Aquavita, Blue jay- might need to order more. My only negative comment is I wish that they would have an imprinted tag on the inside instead it has a long paper tag - of course it can be cut out if necessary.
Not as good as the old ones
I have a few of these headbands in different colors. I wanted to get another black one, because I absolutely love the one I got a few years back. Unfortunately, they must've changed manufacturers or material because the new ones are not nearly as good as the old. I've worn the new ones many times thinking they would become more comfy as the material relaxes but they haven't. They just don't live up to the old ones.I'm saying yes to recommended them to a friend because they are better headbands than many other brands.
Great headband!
This headband is perfect for keeping your hair out of your face while climbing, running, hiking, working out, and walking around town. I use it especially when wearing a helmet to avoid pieces of hair getting in my face. I've owned about 4 of these over the last 3-4 years, and they last about 1 good year until they've become too stretched out and worn. These stay put as compared to other headbands that slide back on your head and you don't have to constantly readjust them like others. Highly recommended!
Nice headband that stays in place!
I really love this headband. For anyone else wondering, the "Womens Organic Headband" is the same width as the "Organic Headband" Prana also has listed. The only differences between the 2 that I've noticed is the color availability and the logo sewn on to the headbands. I own each of theses headband styles, love them all equally and they perform well and stay in place for me. I've got a lot of hair, and it's extremely thick, curly, course, and similar to dreads. Bonus points for organic fabric!
Great headband
I love those bands. I have at least 5 of them in different colours. I’m a sweater so wear them for yoga barre and running all year long and under my biking and climbing helmet in warm weather. They are thin enough to comfortably fit under helmet and do good enough of a job to keep the sweat out of my eyes. They are also not too tight on my head unlike the morning light headband and they wash pretty well although the colour tends to fade a bit after a while.
Does the job
There is nothing fancy about these headbands. They fit nicely not too tight, not too loose. They stretch a little after a few wears (what headband doesn't) but return to shape when washed. Love the black and olive colors. One thing I don't like is the unfinished edge. It tends to roll funny on me. I found that a half twist in the headband creates a cute look and makes the roll less noticeable. All in all I like the headband.
Thank you for an awesome headband, Prana!
Second one of these, because I lost the first. Love this headband, especially because I have thick, long hair and it keeps it all back, out of my face. The material feels nice and soft without being slippery. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that sometimes I feel it is slightly tight on my head. It looks very cute though, the blue is very pretty and it is nice and wide, with the option to fold over and make smaller.
