I recently purchased the Patagonia Powder Town Bibs, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I have used them a few times with no issues at all. The fit is slim and sleek, providing a stylish silhouette while still allowing for plenty of movement on the slopes. The high-quality material not only feels durable but also does an excellent job of protecting me from the elements. Whether it’s wind, snow, or cold temperatures, these bibs keep me comfortable and dry throughout my adventures. Plus, the thoughtful design details, like adjustable straps and reinforced panels, make them incredibly functional. Overall, I highly recommend these bibs to anyone looking for reliable protection and a stylish fit on the mountain.
Really liked the lightweight, professional feel of these bibs. Lots of nice features including the chest pocket and front zipper. Just they are so baggy in the legs. If that is the look you are going for, then they are for you. But for me being a bit shorter at 5'7", they are definitely too long in length, which causes even more bagginess. I get you want some space for layers under non-insulated pants, but these are the baggiest pants in the legs I've ever tried on. Never tested these out on the slopes, but I will agree with some other reviews in that there isnt much movement in the knees. Another knock are the straps. They seem like they would slip off your shoulders very easily. They are very narrow and pretty slick, without any underside rubber grip or anything.
I'm 6'3, 190lbs, lanky build, and snowboard (all in bounds, pow, side stashes, woods as much as possible). first i'd say that i agree with another poster here that the knees are a little restricting, and 90 degrees does feel a little resistance. i also tried on the XL which alleviates some of this, though is so baggy at the hips for me that it would be cold (though look more stylish than my 42 years of age demands...). that said, the advantages of these pants far outweigh this minor issue to me. first, the material is extremely lightweight, breathable, and yet with a base layer on, i don't feel cold. there's fantastic pockets everywhere you could want them, no where you don't (i.e. not excessive), and great heat dumping vents that go all the way up the side if its a spring slush day. the overalls actually tighten to fit great (which is nice since i have minimal hips/butt). overall, the kind of weird fit i'm used to with patagucci, but also the fantastic build/materials i'm used to as well.
Unable to bend my legs to 90 degrees in size Large without major resistance due to extremely constricting cut. 6'2", 195 lbs, 33x34 pant size.
Very cheap ripped in the leg after one use and REI won’t allow returns
First piece of pata gear that I’ve purchased and returned. I’m 6’1 230 and the xl was super baggy in all the weirdest places. Just feels like a cheap piece of gear. Can’t win em all I guess.
I bought these for my son for Christmas. He's worn them about 6 times in the past month and the knee already ripped out. Now I'm getting opposition from REI about exchanging them. I'm not impressed!
I like that these are lightweight, but they run small, so I will be exchanging them, and I want to note that I sized up, to begin with. The deep purple is excellent, black is boring; I liked having another option.
Zipper is weak. REI in Madison is rude. Hate online but no more Madison WI REI store. Bunch of rude employees.
