Fun AND functional!
This is my first Cotopaxi jacket, and I am in love. It's a perfect fit, the sleeves are long enough, and I've washed it three times (with a down wash) and it bounces back perfectly (I use drier balls to help it re-fluff). The colors are bright and it's the perfect layering item - on a coldish (30-40 degree) Oklahoma morning, I'll throw on a short sleeved tech shirt, maybe a long sleeved tech over that, and this jacket. The hood provides neck and head warmth, and it effectively blocks the wind. Excellent layering item, and super fun colors! I get so many comments on this jacket, and I WILL be buying more Cotopaxi items in the future. I'm hooked.
Beautiful & Lightweight
The many conflicting size reviews had me confused if I should purchase the medium or large. Thankfully I made the right choice with a Medium. I am 5’3”, 155, 36C, and have bigger hips, butt, and legs. I am not big boned. I wear a medium in shirts and do not like my clothes tight because I suffer from menopause bloating. I was afraid the medium might be too tight but there is PLENTY of room to fit a sweatshirt underneath. The sleeves are plenty long. I would have needed to return the jacket if I’d purchased a large. I can still zip the waist.
Large Bag
I LOVE this bag!!! We had to evacuate in Tampa as the hurricane was headed for us and I used it to pack food, water, etc for several days. It was SO convenient as it stays wide open!!!
color tberapy!!
bought a bunch mostly for color therapy, just the colors on several of these coats just makes me sooo happy haha. bought 4 & love them & keeps me warm when active by keeping my body heat in, only down fall & complain is some of the darker feather become kind of see through but actually end up looking like stains on my coats, so totally nervous when the time goes to washing them. photos are from my yellow puffer
Perfect Weight, Insulation, and Fit
My wife and I were shopping for outdoor wear for a trip to Iceland in September. After trying on a number of jackets, she selected the Cotopaxi Capa hooded jacket. The fit and color scheme really worked for her, not to mention the warmth and the jacket's light weight. She wore it to church a few days later in what was a really cold morning for our area. When she returned, I asked her how she liked the jacket. She said "I'm never taking it off!" She went on to say she now understands why I purchase the outdoor wear that I do. It's worth it!
Great material and colors but men style
I was very excited about this jacket. The material is great. The colors and light weight are perfect. I was disappointed however that the style of this jacket fits more men than women. The jacket looks square, the arms are too big. No narrowing for the waist. For that reason, unfortunately I have to return the jacket.
Favorite jacket
I bought a Cappa at the end of last winter . It is great for warmer winter days , awesome for spring and fall . I bike in it , hike , walk in the rain , wear it to work . It’s my go to jacket . Recently I noticed small rips in the hood area . I contacted Cotopaxi with pictures , hoping they would send me patches . They responded quickly and told me my Jacket was under warranty . They sent me a shipping label to send back to them . I worked with a warranty specialist to pick out my replacement and it was shipped out to me right away . I was really impressed with the how my replacement was handled . This was my first Cotpaxi purchase but certainly not my last !
Versatile and cozy jacket - Capa Insulated Hooded Jacket - Women's.
Ordered this jacket for traveling to Spain and for hiking back in the US at our home in mountains. What a great piece for either a lightweight stand alone jacket in milder temps or I've also layered a fleece underneath for added insulation in super cold weather. Love the hood that fits just right without being too tight or loose. And of course, the mixed colors are fun and I get lots of compliments. Added bonus, I was able to stuff the jacket into its pocket and pack it down to carry on my flight without extra bulk. Perfect!
Lovely Warm Coat - Just some Nitpicks
I live in coastal Washington, so I don't need a heavy coat most days in the winter. The colors are really attractive and the coat is extremely lightweight and packable. I've also found it warm enough for walks when it's in the 30's, but generally want to layer up if it's windy. It fits well under my Cotopaxi raincoat even with a hoodie underneath, so it can accommodate some light layers. My only complaint is I wish there was an extra inch in the hips. It is borderline snug but not uncomfortable. I'm short (5'0") and have mom-bod, so this comes down a little more on the hips on me than the average person. However, being short, I decided it wouldn't benefit me to size up, especially since the sleeves are already long on me. If Cotopaxi made petite sizes, it would be perfect! I'm still happy with this purchase though.
This is an indispensable jacket in your life.
This is an indispensable jacket in your life. This piece of clothing is very outstanding. First, its colors are colorful, making you unique and charming. Second, it is very warm, soft, and comfortable, making you love it. Third, it is very light, not cumbersome, and it is figure-flattering and fashionable. This is a must-have item for your cross-country competitions, camping, and hiking. I am glad that it accompanies and protects me in my life.
