Warm, soft, comfortable
I took a pair of these on a recent snow camp outing thinking I'd be using them during the milder daytime hours (and I did) but found them to be so warm and comfortable that I used them in the evenings around the campfire too and never broke out my warmest gloves which were never needed thanks to the Southpass gloves. I like how easy they are to put on with the large pull loops along the cuff, and they fit my had very well (size large). I got compliments on their appearance (camo) and the touchscreen fingertips worked "ok" with my phone. I am happy with this purchase!
Half okay glove...
The sherpa covered parts of the glove are really nice and the cold doesn't get through but the palm, comparatively speaking, it pretty exposed and lets the cold right in. I've put these on for driving in freezing cold weather, and while the backs of my hands were all good, the cold of the steering wheel went right into my fingers and palms on the front. Same thing happened when shoveling snow, the cold shovel handle had my fingers aching with cold within minutes. The whole thing should just be sherpa lining IMHO.... I pretty much just keep these around in my car or bag as a backup/emergency pair of gloves for when I have no other option. Also- they seem more tuned to men's hand sizes. I got a medium and there is about 3/4" of space between where my fingers end and where the gloves end. It's not uncomfortable but it does make using the fingertips for touching screens challenging.
