check handlebar fit
Very sturdy and a good way to get a lot of bikes close to your car. I did not like the hanging method for our kids bikes and as it ripped up the cables on some of our bikes. Other than that it did work for a variety of sizes and types of bikes. Took a lot of strength to lift bikes into it. The limiting factor was the style of the handlebars and handlebar support on the bike. With some strength I did like that I could lower it and raise it fully loaded to get stuff out of the back of our suv. Didn't stick out much and kept the bikes high and close. If there was a way for you to try it for your bikes before you bought it I would recommend that.
missing some important functions
it’s easy to use, keeps bikes high off ground, and doesn’t extend beyond rear of vehicle too much (compared to platform style). not recommended for drop style handlebars. 2 things that would make this better: 1) utilize the anti-rattle knob that their other racks have. this only has an anti-rattle bolt that constrains movement left and right, but not up and down. had to buy a separate anti-rattle plate to constrain up and down movement. 2) make the mast pin a quick type of feature for stowing. currently requires 2 wrenches to lower mast keep it out of the way quickly when not in use.
Just a rip off of Lolo Rack
This is just a copy of the Lolo Rack. Except, instead of being made in America with all American sourced materials, it's more plastic. And they sell it for more! if you want this style of carrier, just get a Lolo Rack and get more for your money.
Great for adults
I'm think if you're adults into mountain biking, this rack may work. If you have youth bikes or BMX racing bikes, rack is very hard to use because the bikes can't properly mount on the rack.
wears your bars
Does the job, but because it holds bikes by the bars it will rub and cause cosmetic damage over time to your pretty bike. I returned.
Non-boutique and does what it promises
Only gripe is that it doesn’t fold down to the ground like a Lolo, but they try to force you into their weird brand-locked swingout so I got this instead.
