This is my second eMTB, my other being a bit more basic model from a different company which I ride in Europe. I got the Moterra Neo 3 in N. California during REI’s late winter sale, for about $800 more than I paid for my other bike, which I got last year, also on a winter sale. The Moterra offers much better fork, brakes and controller/display, a larger battery (740 vs.620) and equally good handling despite being a bit heavier. I am pushing 70, and have started using a heart rate monitor, and I like that the Flow app permits me to hook up and display on the Kiox display my heart rate, and of course a bunch of other data including cadence, power, distance, map function and too much else to list. The bike handles more ponderously than a conventional MTB, but you get used to it. I find myself riding much faster both up and down, it is that confidence inspiring. Looking at the competition, the Neo 3 is head and shoulders above the rest on spec.
First time ever riding a mountain bike - let alone an e-bike, but I’ve ridden it over 2.5 hours on some steep, muddy trails and love it
i bought this exact model in medium . im 5'7 165lbs . The bosch Cx motor has plenty of power for steep uphils...shocks and frame offer good comfortable ride and stable on trails. I rode 30 miles in turbo mode on a slightly gradient road and had 25% battery left... one thing about bike ...its very heavy ...at approx 60lbs ...motor off and pedaling..feels like a 70lb bike....i got this on sale at $4000 ..id never pay $5000 or more for this...other better options for $5k like the Canyon carbon frame fox shocks...
Had this bike for more than a month and, so far, it doesn’t disappoint. Had issues with the dropper post coming off factory hence, the 4 stars but the folks at REI are very helpful and assisted me to have the issue fixed and they also went far and beyond of ordering a new dropper post with Cannondale. REI rocks!
This thing will get you into any mountain and is sturdy and heavy enough to get you through any downhill section. Too heavy to do technicals properly
Amazing bike. Great on rowdy trails and plenty of battery life and power. Love my bike!
