Great bike but you may not get the specs listed
Overall the bike functions very well and I have been enjoying it so far. Mine did come with the top tube bag which was a nice addition. The trainer axle was not included with mine. Mine also didn't come with the listed Shimano cranks but instead FSA Gossamer cranks. I brought it up when I picked up the bike as I thought I was getting a full Shimano Tiagra set up as listed in the specs. I was told it came from Cannondale this way and was not offered the option to switch out to the advertised Shimano cranks. The FSA cranks have worked well so far but kind of disappointing that you really have no idea what parts you may end up with.
Cannondale quality has gone down the drain.
So I think Cannondale quality has slowly been degrading, I've read that they have been loosening their tolerances for max deviance from specific dimensions and it's really starting to affect the quality of their bikes. I purchased this bike new and have been having so many unusual issues I never had with any other bike. The rear wheel thru-axle does not fit properly and cross-threads so easily, I had issues putting it together. Also, the wheels were trash within a month, the spokes lost all their tention and the bike would wobble at normal speeds. I needed to purchase a new wheel for $275 within a month of purchaing the bike. Never purchasing another Cannondale bike again.
My 1st Road Bike
I really enjoy this bike. The brakes are literally amazing. The hub has a great sound. The bike itself is lighter than expected, it shifts really well. I just wish it came in a cooler color lol I'd definitely recommend this bike though!
BEST "budget" road bike ever
I fit size 35 tires on here for gravel trails and use the 30's for when I want to really enjoy the road experience. It shifts well, has a great sound, and of all the endurance bikes that I've ridden, it's one of the most aggressive. So if you're trying to merry the geometry of a fun and fast road bike while also having space for some off reading this is for sure your ride.
Wonderful!
Loved it but I ordered the wrong size. Look at the Cannondale website for height ranges before ordering. The shifting and braking is smooth.
Great bike!
Had this for a few weeks now, initially purchased a larger size but checked on Cannondale’s website and was able to get my correct size. Everything works great and is super fun to ride. Comes with everything as listed except FSA crank instead of the Tiagra crank.
Fun, fast bike with great handling
TLDR: Good quality, shifts smooth, fast and the breaks are fantastic. My riding details for context: Ride frequency: 5+ days/week (for exercise). I ride about 40 - 50 miles per week. I upgraded from hybrid city bike to Synapse AL 2. The bike quality is top notch, the shifting is smooth and the bike is super light. I live in a hilly region and this bike is surprising a easy to handle steep roads. I can climb 15-20% acclivity mostly relying on the back gears. My first hydraulic break on a bike and I can descent with lot of confidence, thanks to its amazing breaking power.
