Gorgeous bike. Came with Maxxis tires even though the spec noted WTB’s which was a nice surprise. Dropper, drivetrain, air fork all work well for entry level components, can’t expect much more at this price point. Two slight issues with the bike 1) the front WTB rim was leaking air from the metal manufacturing seam until the tubeless sealant plugged it. Just a defect with the rim itself and if I ran tubes, I wouldn’t have noticed. 2) The rear hub engagement is abysmal. In climbing gears, you have to move the cranks a solid 6-8” counterclockwise to find the last engagement point in the hub, which I imagine will be an issue on technical climbs. So far this has been my only gripe with how the bike is spec’d, not sure why they didn’t go with cheap shimano hubs that do a much better job. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the bike, but couldn’t give it 5 stars due to the issues stated above.
Great bike. Handled the single track trail pretty good. Rocks, mud, loose sand etc
Pretty simple setup, nothing too fancy which is fine by me. I purchased this bike for weekend trail rides and to simply have a bike as my other was stolen some time ago. The habit ht 2 rides pretty smooth for a mountain bike. It is much happier and easier to ride on trails than pavement. On the pavement the bigger tires make it kinda slow, and the angle of the ride stance is kinda funky the slower you go. But once you put this bike on some dirt or gravel, it feels right at home. It picks up speed relatively well and maneuvers easily on a slight downhill at a decent speed. Tires are nice and grippy. I like the smaller size of the brake handles, and the brakes themselves work fine. The shifter mechanism is a first for me, seems to work fine. The saddle I replaced but even my new one leaves my butt sore as heck. I ordered some padded undies for that. Style wise this bike got a lot of love at the bike shop for it's looks. I like the color. Pretty basic, this is a fun bike.
I bought the same version of this bike in an Extra Large version for my older son after buying the same make/model in a Medium for my youngest a couple months ago. It has good tires, a competent front shock, and geometry that provides best in class stand over height. The Mantis green color is not obnoxious as far as green color is concerned, and we got an excellent price with Summer sale. The folks who work in the bike department were very helpful throughout process.
First bike I had was a Cannondale as well but wasn't satisfied with it's performance. Upgraded to this Habit definitely a lot more smoother than previous bike but not the best on the pavement. Maybe the tire's too big IDK. Recommend you swap out the bike seat as original hurts your behind . Got one with a little more cushion so much better now. Great bike hasn't given me any issues other than replacing the bike chain. For it's price I'm satisfied with it.
Got this as my first mountain bike and it’s great! Does everything I need it to do, and comes with better tires than it’s supposed to. It’s also a pretty nice geometry that handles the trail well.
I picked up my bike and took it for a ride. This bike is lighter than the bike I had previously as well as fast . Handle's well also another feature I like about this bike is the dropper seatpost awesome.I would definitely recommend this bike . Overall in my opinion this bike is one of my favorites
