Bigger than it looks

This bag feels like it holds more than my 32L Camelback Trailblazer, might just be the organization between pockets but it holds a lot. Been using the Targhee pretty heavily (mostly full if not entirely @ max 25-30lbs) for 3-4 months now, no signs of tearing or unthreading at the seams. Stays tight during and after falls. Room for skis or snowboard when hiking. Only complaint is it didnt come with a bladder, fits my camelback 3.5L bladder pretty well. (Airpods for scale)

Great board/ski pack

This is a well thought out pack for snowboarding and skiing. It can carry skis in diagonal or A frame or a board. The hydration tube is insulated and did not freeze over on me. Avi pocket and I like that the main pocket can be accessed even when your board is strapped on. Very comfortable and low profile enough to wear while lift riding. I only docked it one star was because it does have a weird "squeek" between the stiffening material and cover on the back panel. Most of the time I don't notice it. First Gregory pack I've owned (mostly Ospery or Mystery Ranch) and I'm impressed. B

Well thought out

Perfect pack for the back country. Shovel and probe pack nicely into the outer pocket. Hydration doesn’t freeze with insulated cover. Plenty of room for extra layers and food. Pack wears well and you hardly notice you have it when ascending or descending . Plenty of options to strap on skis, snowshoes and helmet. Love this pack!

Love this bag

Great, well-designed bag. I just read through the few other reviews here though and feel like maybe Gregory needs to include an instruction manual. You definitely CAN open the back compartment completely while having the water bladder installed, you just need to make sure the tube is weaving through the gap in the bottom of the pouch and up the side to the shoulder. There are little guide straps even. It is actually a pretty clever design but without instructions might take a second to figure out.

Great all around pack!

I’ve got about a seasons worth of use in the targhee and could not be happier! Its small enough to wear in the resort for hydration and storing some layers and maybe a layer or two. But still big enough for single day tours with plenty of features and separate pockets for holding avalanche safety gear. Extremely comfortable for all day use and the padded back plate offers some protection as well. Could not recommend more! Thanks Gregory!

Great pack

Overall great pack. Very comfortable and perfect for day hike use and back country snowboarding. I used this pack for a day hike and it performed very well. Fit was easy to adjust and did not shift. The only reason this pack is not 5 stars is the main gear compartment is not easily accessible with bladder hose routed through shoulder strap. That is the only complaint I had about this pack. I am very pleased with this pack.

Excellent pack for winter gear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been looking for a pack that would fit me (5' 2" , 110 lbs, and carry snow shoes, poles, and all items needed for winter hiking without having to use bungee cords, accessory straps, or other means of securing items to pack. This pack fit, is comfortable, and has every pocket, strap, and loop needed to carry everything I need and then some; plus has room to grow as my needs grow. Highly recommend.

Great Bag

Havent gotten the chance to use it on snow but have taken it out on some day hikes. Great backpack from what I can tell. The main compartment being below the shoulder straps meaning you need to take the whole bag off to open it takes some getting used to but it makes sense when you think about it being designed for avalanche gear. I look forward to using it this winter if we ever get some snow.

I wanted to LOVE this bag

Great bag and features, however, I would give this a 5 star if they had more internal organization pockets and made the external helmet carry completely removable. Unless I'm not figuring it out properly, using the helmet carry requires that you keep that pocket open, making it risky to put anything in that pocket while using the helmet carry.

Great backpack. I ski with it a lot. Only thing I wish was different is the internal camelback/hose solution. When you open the main compartment, the hose is in the way. Would be nice if the bladder could be on the part without the straps. Hopefully that makes sense. Otherwise it’s super comfortable and works perfectly for me.
