After 25 years with the old saddle, it was starting to break down and I decided I needed a new one. The local bike shops had limited options, and REI has a great return policy, so I ordered a total of 5 different saddles and tried them all out. It takes time to get used to a new saddle, but I selected out those that were painful on the first ride. I am using a trainer during the winter, and so comfort is even more challenging. This was the first that I did a full 30 minute test ride on without a problem. I have now done two additional 1 hour rides and particularly when on the drops it is comfortable. A little less so still when on the hoods. It is light. The materials appear to be of good quality. I don't know if I'll get 25 years out of this one like that last, but I anticipate several years at least.
I tried several different saddles and I this saddle was by far the best of the one I tested to replace by 19 year old Fizik Wing Flex saddle, which served me well.
