I bought these in Large size. They were just a bit snug going on, but I have larger ankles and calfs. The material is very comfortable. I am wearing these with sneakers, hiking shoes and Teva sandals. I am going to buy a 2nd pair at REI.

I like this brand under most conditions but in wet and/or sweaty weather my feet will shift and slide a bit causing some hot spots or blisters. I think this brand is exceptional but I prefer to wear them under ideal conditions rather than wet conditions. They fit well, maintain their shape, and last a long time. I would buy more pairs of these but prefer another brand for wet/sweaty conditions.

Cheesy imitation of a great sock

Beware of less content, less sock, same price: These socks are a poor imitation of the earlier version of Performance Hike socks. There is less wool content, less snug and less comfortable when hiking. Additionally the crew height is about an inch lower than any crew socks.
