As other have reported the material on the toe box is falling apart. In my case it's at 10 week with less than 1mm worn off the tread
Loved these so much this is actually my third pair. I honestly am just trying to keep myself from buying more when these go out of stock.
Have owned several pair of these. I find them to be comfortable, have good support, and plenty of traction. I also like it that they aren't lined with Gore-tex. I find they run a little small so I always order a 1/2 size up. My only wish is that REI would seriously consider shipping these things in something other than a plastic bag. I know the bag is 'recyclable'. There unfortunately isn't much of a chance it will be recycled. There's got to be something else REI could use.
A shoe that should NOT have been discontinued. For starters, they don’t ride on a balloon, which most shoe companies enjoy adhering to their soles. I don’t want a balloon. I want something aggressive. A shoe that will take me up the steep winding trails, or along the ridge tops. A shoe that can hop across bouldery slopes, or … you name it. The tread provided great traction on numerous surface types (gravel, dirt, rock, grass…). And after 4 months and about 350miles (plus non running use) the tread is lightly worn. Another pro, these shoes were made a great insole. Comfortable, and with some arch support. The biggest con - they’re beginning to delaminate on top. Although it’s expected for how much use they've been through. So maybe the real con is Salomon has discontinued the shoe. Also Salomon this year’s line is inequitable. Where are the size 14’s?
I really like the shoe it fit really good and it is light.. but i had to returned it because when i tightened it the lace cut in to my big toe and after a few minutes it started to hurt
I would have rated it higher but the shoes don’t have a traditional lacing system which I prefer. They fit great and are true to size. Very comfortable.
I love these shoes. This is my 3rd pair, that is how much I wear them. Hiking, walking, to dinner, to church.
Love the shoe, but the shoe wears out faster than one would think. Heel liner and toe mesh goes first.
I have been a Salomon fan for a long time and this shoes are just awesome , feel great and comfortable
Theae are a good stable platform that I use for light backpacking.
