Decent walking shoe

I bought these shoes for a great price during the Cyber Sale, and had heard a lot of good things about Hoka Shoes yet had never owned a pair. I find them to be very comfortable for walking my dog, but they are not incredibly cushioned which is what I was hoping for.

For running, and climbing 14ers

My second pair of Hokas - I'm hooked. They fit well, feel great on runs, and made my September climbs in the Rockies so pleasant!

Maybe a bad batch?

I usually really like HOKA.. but with these, less than two months in and the tread is completely coming apart from the bottom of the shoe. Never had this happen before. I tried the HOKA warranty but they make you pay to mail them back to you and wait for them to look at them to decide.. No thank you, I will return to REI.

Shoes are comfortable, but wear easily

So, this pair of Hoka's are comfortable out of the box and provide great support. I only wear the shoes for indoor use. Indoor use, in this case is for weight training, so they are only worn for at most 2 hours a day. The inside of the heel is starting to wear through, which is a bit of a let down for a pair of HOKA's considering this is my fourth pair and the only pair that has worn in this fashion.
