Time Consuming to Thread Onto Schrader Valve

It takes 22-30 twists before the chuck secures to Schrader valves on bike tires. Once the chuck is engaged, you can confirm the current PSI on the gauge. The pump makes a loud, squeaky noise with each pump. When you're done inflating bike tires, you have to twist the chuck 22-30 times in order to remove it. The video Lezyne offers only shows a couple twists to attach and disengage the chuck. This is deceptive. We do not know if this is an issue with Presta valves.

Lezyne Alloy Floor Drive Pump

Well I was excited about getting a new high end pump... It looks beautiful, it pumps air, (though with less gusto than my old reliable Bontrager pump), and it is LOUD with a whiney low end groan with every single pump, (My wife has actually complained about the noise while sleeping in the bedroom of me using the pump in the living room early in the AM, with closed doors. *I know this sounds sordid*). Now if with that came high performance it would help me overlook the noise. Also, the screw on chuck sometimes unscrews the presta core after inflation is complete, flattening all progress in seconds. Now THIS I can chalk up to user error, as it does not happen if I ensure the presta cores are tight to begin with. That I can get by, as it just means due diligence, which IS for the greater good. But overall, Its just well.... underwhelming, considering the cost and expectations from such an expensive pump. *Lets also consider that this is no knee jerk reaction to a new item, I have been using it for six months*. I have sometimes found myself going back to my OLD beat up Bontrager that I keep in the car at times, for more air per pump and no loud whine. Overall, I would not recommend this pump at the current price point, and may steer towards the Lezyne Sport Gravel Drive Floor Pump, that I have tried at an REI location, which is nice and quiet and less expensive (but does not have the PSI capacity of the Alloy Floor Drive, which I actually do not need). Overall, does the job slowly and loudly, but does the job. Though I really wish it was better all around.

Noisy.

I had high hopes, but am returning this pump. Pretty yes, but really noisy. It sounds like the piston is scraping something all the way down and feels gritty. And although I read great things about the chuck, it wasn't as fool-proof as it I imagined. Going Silca...

Do not buy this pump!

Bought this pump to replace an old Joeblow and had the worst time getting it to work. Where do I start? The pump is a screw on type, but appears to not easily catch on the Schrader valve threading. Feels like I gotta push it against the valve and screw like 15 times to get it all the way on. When pumping, it makes this sad squealing noise that sounds like a dying goose. The pressure indicator is completely off and wouldnt indicate anything accurately above 10 psi. Sometimes the psi indicator would drop down then jump back up suddenly. For a couple of tires it read 20psi when they were really 40psi. After a few attempts to pump different tires I decided this was a very terrible pump. I picked it up off the floor and saw a couple of the rubber feet stayed on the floor. I realized the rubber feet were just stickered to the bottom and one was already missing in addition to the ones that just fell off. This pump is most definitely not worth the 90 dollars I paid for it. It looks pretty, but that's about it.
